Etymology of “Egypt.”

Pretty obviously Copt comes from Egypt, not the other way around, especially because the word goes back to before Christianity.

English "Egypt" comes from the Greek name "Aigyptos."

Aigyptos is thought to be derived from one of the names of Memphis, Hwt-ka- ptah, according to Blue Guide: Egypt.
