How long it would have taken from the time of its exposure for the press to have prominently reported on an email sent from the the Bush 43 White House to its Justice Department asking, "Any way we can fix the New York Times?" We can be confident that it would have taken less than a New York minute, and that saturation coverage would have continued for days.
Well, one revelation in a series of Saturday tweets by former CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson, one of only a very few establishment press journalists who did serious reporting on the Department of Justice's Operation Fast & Furious Mexican gun-running operations beginning in 2011, is that the Obama administration was considering what it could do to "fix" another news operation.

Bias, what bias?
The sad thing is that there is so much corruption in this regime, and nothing can be done until 2016.
There are several solutions.
Defund everything he wants to do
No approval of judges or cabinet
Impeach on all charges
We need a full court press on the hero of Benghazi
Nurse Wratchet's FIX
Well, the NYT has been financially “fixed” for quite a while now.
I suspect the NYT is already getting a financial “fix” from Bammy’s $tash.
I can't find Bob Schieffer addressing this in a public statement. He needs to.
Maybe Sharyl Attkisson's book details what he did.
well he didn’t LIE... Technically it’s not a ‘smidgen’ of corruption.
It’s an AVALANCHE!!! a barrage, a deluge, a flood, a landslide, a torrent, an inundation of Corruption!
But it’s clearly not a smidgen.
The greatest enemy the Obama administration has is truth.

Yes, this is from Salon. It describes how, during the Clinton Copresidency, the White House worked a deal to get “antidrug” and other propaganda woven into TV shows.
I would only expect this to have grown more pervasive in the last 14 years. We have a history of manufactured and controlled news in the US, it’s what Edward Bernays pioneered during World War Two.
The progressives could not exist if there were five or six truly independent investigative news outfits.
True for Progressivism generally.
One of the things that should be done is to abolish the “Ad Council” a propaganda engine established during WWII.
Last night I heard a telephone “interview” with Atkinsson... the host was obviously reading questions and making commentary that someone else had originally asked when the actual interview was held... and then the tape of Atkinsson’s answers and comments was played. I was kind of offputting that the station could not just broadcast the original unedited interview... which was excellent.
How dare they criticize the Emperor?
That’s why they threatened the media.
I’d say that they managed to get/fix fox news after all.
Nothing will change in 2016 simply because the GOP lacks the fighting spirit to state the truth that the govt. is an Ongoing Criminal Enterprise in need of a house cleaning that would make one of Joe Stalin’s legendary purges look like a Sunday school kindergarten class singing Jesus loves me.
“One of the things that should be done is to abolish the Ad Council”
I mentioned Bernays above, I think. He was one of the people behind “The War Advertising Council”, now called The Ad Council, that was indeed a major propaganda driver.
And do we remember Obama’s Office of Nudge?
