House, Senate to vote on Keystone XL pipeline
WashPo ^ | Nov. 12, 2014 | Ed O'Keefe

Before her remarks, Landrieu was spotted riding the escalator alone up from the Senate trains that carry lawmakers between their offices and the Capitol, toward a row of elevators. She was stone-faced and declined to answer questions from reporters. Once she reached the top level and stepped off, Sen. Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.), one of his party’s top campaign strategists, walked over.

Smiling, he asked Landrieu to step aside for a private conversation. She shook her head and moved briskly toward the elevator. As she did, she pointed to her phone, saying she had a call. Schumer paused for a moment as she moved away. His smile dropped, and he turned to follow her. “Mary, Mary,” he said, a few steps behind, asking her to speak with him. When she kept moving and ducked into an elevator, he hustled and jumped in to join her as the doors closed.

I quickly checked but did not see a description of this scene between Schumer and Landrieu reported in other articles on this keystone vote subject.

Seems there is trouble in River City amongst the Senate RATS.

“A Senate vote next week will allow Landrieu to say that she voted for the project, putting some distance between her and Obama.”

LOL!

That will bring the Dems to the polls. /s

After how the left has screamed about the Dem candidates abandoning Obama as the reason why they lost. This will keep them home, as well as the greens. Most of the rest of them wont bother to show. Blacks aren’t going to make a repeat trip for basically nothing.

That was a very interesting scene with Landrieu and ol’ shark face.

I wonder if we’ll see something similar with a key RAT and Joe Manchin before long.

After all these years of Liberal/Dem bulls**T about the XL pipeline, NOW they want to vote on it, KNOWING it will be vetoed, so that they can save Landreiu??

Not ONE lib I know has mentioned this, because the Daily Show and MSNBC hasn’t told them what they are supposed to think, yet.

The democrats held up the Keystone pipeline for years knowing it would hurt America

now to save one democrat senator they suddenly want to approve it . all they care is about politics and power getting to full socialism not about what will help the economy.pure evil is the democrat party

It sounds more like the same ol' game. Landrieu will get to say she voted for it, and the 'pubs will be blamed for not getting enough votes for an override in spite of "bipartisan support".

If the 'pubs are sincere about wanting to accomplish things, they'll find some pro-energy dem votes to go with an override.

yes I agree.

also everyone should keep repeating that Landrue voted for Obamacare and Amnesty. Bill cassidy had those ads but now changed them. that's all you need to say over and over again. landrue is evil like all democrats are .look at what Obama is doing with that dictatorial executive amnesty.

Do not forget all the union pipeliners, equipment operators,laborers...

Will the unions ever realize they have been had?
SEVEN BILLION DOLLARS! AS IT WORKS DOWN, MOST OF IT TURNS INTO LABOR COST.Then add in the multiplyer...

The Canada East pipeline will do ZERO for american construction workers.Unless EVERY Canadian of that classification is working, Americans need not apply.

Did I say elevators or escalators?

What difference does it make?

Gotta get Baby Cheeks reelected. Barry will wait until after the runoff to break the bad news that he’s not going to sign it.

I don't think Obama will veto it. The Dems want to steal credit from the Republicans on the XL Keystone approval. 100% politics, all the time with the Dems.

I hope the thousands who benefit from these new jobs realize they could've been working on this pipeline 6 years ago but Reid chose to hold them hostage in exchange for Democrat political leverage.
