Obamacare Cancellations are Really Just “Invitations” to Get Better Plans (Exempt Pelosi knew)
Townhall ^ | 10/29/14 | Michael Schaus

In order to be a big-government liberal, mental gymnastics and verbal tap-dancing must come naturally. In an impressive display of verbal flexibility, a Health and Human Services official explained that Obamacare is really just a benevolent feature of a loving government that is completely incapable of coercion or force.

According to Joanne Grossie from the HHS, no one is being “forced” into the public exchanges. She even insisted that people who have found themselves kicked off their previous healthcare plans are actually quite lucky; because their previous plans were obviously inadequate clunkers that catered only to their gullibility and stupidity… Or something. According to the National Review Online:

Of course, Joanne wasn’t done there. She insisted on pointing out that people who are losing their insurance are actually getting a blessing in disguise. “They were getting very poor policies before,” she justified, “and now they’re getting much better coverage.”

Hussein built that. You should feel lucky.

My “better” plan has a deductible which will render me penniless.

Sounds like Joanne Grossie is in serious need of an invitation for electroshock therapy to treat her Obama delusions.

Same here and my co-pays are verging on stupid high...one “specialist” was shocked at how much they had to ask for. This has been no bargain for me and a lot of folks so we can pay for shameeka’s next kid with no baby daddy or Eric’s gender reassignment.

But my abortion services are covered...next time this older guy needs one, of course.

Stupid-high deductible here too.

Ridiculous high.

I don’t believe Pelousey knew. That would require critical analysis. No prog analyzed the Obolacare act they just passed it in the most corrupt display of congressional stupidity in history. It was a long sought after keystone of Marxist legislative take over and all of them voted for it on that basis alone.

Creepy totalitarianism 101 and active measure hypocrisy.

The government is so gentle it dpes not quarantine people with Ebola... But keeps the majority of the healthy in fear and incarcerated.

in fact the CDC and Obamacare are so liberal as to claim gays are normal and those leaving the lifestyle are psychologically hurting those that atay in the lifestyle, all too hapoy for the cause to threaten incarceration of gay apostasians.

I am shocked the Dems haven’t paid a higher price for this (including the Kenyan Pirate in his re-election bid); while “healthcare for all” is a great soundbyte, the fact is that we now have mandatory health INSURANCE for all - not “care” - and people are paying a steep price for it - even if they can’t afford to use it.

I hope Republicans are hanging this around the neck of every communist that voted for it (at least those that haven’t escaped the repercussions by simply retiring).

My “better” plan has a deductible which will render me penniless.

Well now, it wasn't really your money to begin with was it? The benevolent government allowed you to use it for awhile, now they want it back.

Fair's fair.

-—— we now have mandatory health INSURANCE for all-——

Actually, Roberts was correct. We now have mandatory health tax.

The full extent has been delayed till next month but is coming. Those that bought insurance through the exchanges learned it is not really insurance. They pay the premium and get a card. They go to the doctor and submit the card and then must pay for the visit until the large deductible is met.

Two cards are required....to be eligible for treatment you must submit the health care card. To receive treatment you must pay at the time of service and need a debit or credit card.

in effect they have paid a nonrefundable tax

“But my abortion services are covered...next time this older guy needs one, of course.”

Yep. They’ve made health insurance policies like cable packages. You can’t just get the coverage (channels) you want or need, but have to pay for huge bundles of things that you neither want nor need.

When people were getting their cheap catastrophic plans cancelled it was because they were "inferior."

Fact is, Obamacare plans are catastrophic plans with astronomical deductibles that you pay through the nose for.

If you like your health insurance, you can keep your health insurance. Period.

As a bonus, you will be required to trade the plan you like for an even better one that you can keep until next year - higher premiums, higher deductibles, less coverage, fewer doctors, but free birth control whether you want it or not. Isn’t that wonderful!

So, they admit they were lying about

“if you like your plan, you can keep your plan”?

Did they have to lie because they knew most people liked their plan?

I understand leftists well enough to know EXACTLY what the answer to this would be -

“the people who liked their plans weren’t smart enough to know that their ACA plan would be better, so they had to lie”.
