Droplet spread happens when germs traveling inside droplets that are coughed or sneezed from a sick person enter the eyes, nose, or mouth of another person. Droplets travel short distances, less than 3 feet (1 meter) from one person to another.
A person might also get infected by touching a surface or object that has germs on it and then touching their mouth or nose.

Clean and disinfect commonly touched surfaces like doorknobs, faucet handles, and toys, since the Ebola virus may live on surfaces for up to several hours.

That means the disease is easily caught on a plane!
Suspend west African flights until this outbreak ends.
so, in other words...
Th CDC needs to have a new name more appropriate to the job they’re really doing. Maybe CSD center for spreading disease?
I’m sure other freepers can come up with a more clever name.
Yes sir it does. Just think this is from the CDC own link
Unbelievable!
Where is that idiot poster on this site that claims to be a scientist that says you can’t get it from aerosol transmission?
Let’s see what she has to say now.
3 feet?
So, if you stay 3ft, .001 inches away from someone, you’re safe, according to the CDC.
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
... You are a racist hater if you refuse to pretend reality isn’t reality. And Racist haters will be quarantined.
I knew this way before that.
Check out Myth Busters and their investigations into Sneezes and sprays.
Friedan and his whole crew are a bunch of obfuscating dissemblers who only dole out what THEY think you need to know. That ‘think’ is controlled by Obama and his lackeys.
puts paid to the “direct physical contact” lie that they have been peddling.
What if the carrier has both influenza and Ebola?
Wouldn’t there be a lot of transmission?
THE EXEMPT and the Moslem Impostor:
.......... “What difference does it make”?
Or a bus, or a crowded ER waiting room...
You can’t catch Ebola from a bus!
Along those lines, one should not use a power-washer to clean up bodily fluids from someone with Ebola. Anyone who has used a power-washer knows that droplets splash up and land on everyone in the area. When will CDC put out guidelines for clean-up? My guess - not until someone in the US gets infected that way.
How can they even put a 3’ limit? So we should feel safe if someone with this disease sneezes on us from 4’? I think not.
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Remind me to pack my yardstick and bring it every where I go...
three feet..
youre closer when standing or stting next to Ebola people on a train or bus ...
