The GOPe wing of Free Republic requires that the Conservative wing of Free Republic swallow our distaste for their Democrat-Lite Karl Rove Approved (TM) candidates in order to win seats labeled (R) at the expense of conservative principle.
Okay, let's put the shoe on the other foot: If Ted Cruz is winning 45% of the Republican vote in early primaries, will you require your Karl Rove Approved (TM) candidate withdraw and unreservedly throw your support behind the winning candidate Ted Cruz?
Slightly differently stated, are you primarily interested in beating Democrats or Conservatism?
Go Cruz
Cruz has my support, I liked Paul but Paul seems to have swallowed the GOPe kool-aid. To bad I had high hopes for Paul but right now Cruz (and Lee and Sessions) is the man. I am almost a single issue voter and my issue is illegal immigration. If you are wrong on illegal immigration you do not get my vote (Hello Rick Perry).
Well done, Uncle Miltie
(Just getting tired of fighting with the GOPe on their turf ... they got their limp-wristed nominees and now they’re whining that conservatives don’t support them enough. Time for the shoe to be on the other foot and make them come to OUR fight. I’m calling them out. Wimps.)
Yes, I would enthusiastically support Ted Cruz because he upholds conservative values rather than make collegial efforts to have the Democrats be less dumb crap.
Cruz.
I’d support him, but if he loses in the primary I’m going to vote for the other guy, and not waste energy on sour grapes and teeth gnashing and childish nonsense that he didn’t get the nomination so I’m going to stay home and pout like a 3 year old.
Yup. Never again. We are so far gone there is no longer any reason to once again be herded like cattle into the RINO coral.
“Oh, it’s the most important election ever. Vote for the RINO or we’ll end up with Hillary.”
Yep, if’n that’s the case then I guess we’ll end up with Hillary.
Sayyyyy
Weren’t you cancelled before I was born?
Voting for Cruz would do both.
DITTO!!! GO CRUZ!!! HE HAS MY SUPPORT.
I am a single issue voter. You are either a conservative or you are not. You don’t have to be a right of right conservative but my vote will only go to someone who is more conservative than GOPe.
I will not vote GOPe.
At this point a rabid dog would have more sense.
“Id love to see Cruz debate ANY GOPe Candidate. I suspect it would be very sweet.”
***************************************************************************************
It would indeed be a great sight to behold; but I suspect that mincemeat made of GOPe RINOs would be sour and not sweet.
Let Ted Cruz be THE conservative candidate in the 2016 primaries. And the ONLY constitutional candidate so that multiple RINOs can split the non-conservative votes.
If the GOPe wanted to, they could very easily get their base behind Cruz. And probably win! They don’t want to.
Go Ted. I want vote for anyone else. Screw all y’all if you don’t like it. I’m done playin’ with these fools. We need a strong conservative to reclaim the White Hut and make it that shining example once more. I want my world back.
He’s the only one so far that has not looked shiny and lost his shine. Rand was a contender, but only for a short time.
So far, every single thing I’ve heard of Cruz saying that I didn’t like turned out to be either satire or false. And he’s said a lot of VERY good things that nobody else seems to have the guts to say, and stand behind them.
Our home (2) agrees with you....we LOVE Ted Cruz and have met him in person. Heard that his dad is an amazing man and my girlfriends would travel across Texas to see him again!!
The GOP has proven themselves to be utterly useless against the juggernaut of liberal tyranny and destruction that has seized this Republic. Rather, they have been complicit. The exceptions are too few.
