[Pew] Poll: Support for Gay marriage drops 5 pts
Right Wing News ^

I submit that that prior polls showing support for Gay marriage should be taken with a grain of salt considering the atmosphere of intimidation that exists in the country today.

Grand Haven Tribune reports a survey released Monday from the Pew Research Center indicates American support for same-sex marriage could be leveling off after several years of dramatic growth in acceptance of equal rights for gays and lesbians. The study’s authors caution it’s too soon to draw any definitive conclusions. But the new poll released Monday found a 5 percentage point drop since February, from 54 percent to 49 percent, in Americans who want legal recognition for same-sex relationships. The percentage of those opposed increased during that same period, from 39 percent in February to 41 percent last month.

The poll of 2,002 adults, conducted Sept. 2-9, has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.5 percentage points.

“Since we’ve seen this upward trend for so long, we’re cautious because it’s too early to say what this means for long-term trends,” said Jessica Martinez, a researcher in Pew’s Religion and Public Life Project. “As we continue to ask this question in other surveys, we’ll keep an eye on where this moves.”

The findings were part of a survey in which nearly three-quarters of Americans said religious influence in public life was waning and most saw that as a negative trend. About half of respondents said churches and houses of worship should speak out more on public issues.

Nearly half of all the respondents said businesses that provide services for weddings, such as florists, should be allowed to deny service to same-sex couples if the owners have religious objections.

Rhetorical: Duh...of course it has. Because the support never existed to begin with.

Nearly half of all the respondents . . .

If not even half of the people they surveyed were willing to support religious freedom over against the gay mafia, this country is hopelessly lost.

IMHO, support would drop like a stone if people realized what a tiny percentage of our population is composed of queers:

Queers: "We are the 2.3%".     07/15/2014 192kb.pdf

I have read articles where some people believe queers make up 20+ percent of our population. Gotta give the queers credit. They can make their group appear much larger than it is.

What really ticks me off is how they insert gay couples into EVERYTHING now!

I will be watching some show on HGTV and BAM! there are two men pretending to be married looking for a house together.

I switch the channel and BAM! there is the token funny gay friend inserted into the sitcom.

I switch to news and then realize BAM! this reporter is gay too! since my Gaydar is completely pegged!

WTH!

How do 1-2% of the population get inserted into nearly EVERYTHING!!!!

People are starting to realize this isn’t about “consenting adults” and see that they are inserting themselves in schools and youth organizations going after their teenage sons. It was only a matter of time before it started to backfire.

Yes the cause and effect, just like Obamacare, when you get to the details that impact you, it truly is a Faustian Bargain. And now I have noticed this week very stealthily increase in the visibility of Transgender awareness. After that, their will be more emphasis on Polygamy (which is being talked about more), then they will move into area's that are so icky, I don't even want to mention them other than the gent in NJ who wants to marry his son to beat inheritance taxes. It's a long story, but I met one of the major players in the Hawaii Gay Marriage movement in 1999. I came away from this discussion that he and his lover didn't need marriage they needed a good Financial Planner. A Flat or Fair Tax might have nipped this movement in the bud IMHO, because of great deal of the issues (IMHO) are related to money, benefits, and inheritance.

Gay sex is much more “icky” than polygamy IMO (not that I am for polygamy).

On the other hand, support has gone up 110 percent among the buffoons in the black robes beating their gavels.

Well, if more people would find a better hobby than tithing $100 or more a month to finance the gay agenda on every cable/dish/sports channel, that might have an impact. But it seems that people on the right are just fine with financing the gay agenda then going online to complain about it. Because they do it every month and find an excuse why their case is special.

Yea, I know. No one wants to face that incontinent truth. But it is the truth. The sooner we defund the left to the tune of billions a year straight to the propaganda coffers, the sooner the crap stops.

The father of lies comes to steal, kill and destroy. The entertainment business trys to portray them as light hearted, harmless and it’s all about loving someone. People who don’t have the Spirit of the Lord living within them, can be easily deceived.

The companion statistic to the 2.3% is that something like 5% of this subset crowd is satisfied with one partner at a time, compared to roughly 70% of heterosexual males and 80% of heterosexual females.

So, even if you double the number of queers to 5%, you have have 5% of 5% or 1/4th of 1% who have any claim whatsoever to the popular slogan of "marriage equality" and, in reality, less than that.

For this, we are supposed to overturn an entire legal system based on traditional heterosexual marriage? It would make more sense to say the entire eastern half of the United States should adopt a legal system based on the Amish religious order, because the proportions are fairly comparable.

if the media actually reported how the homostapo is attacking people, suing people, taking religious rights away etc then these numbers would drop in double figures
