Yeah. Especially 20-year-olds living in their basement.

I’d love to hear their arguments against spanking.

But I had more than spanking when I was a kid, so...

My Dad was a semi-professional corporal punishment artist. But I didn’t spank my kids. I developed “the look”.

Spare the rod...Spoil the child.

It’s absolutely true.

No. It’s not OK. And I wanna know why a school district gets an assault vehicle. What astounding idiocy.

There’s a world of difference between spanking and beating.

If you really can’t get across to your kid without hitting them, (and all kids are different) then that’s what the padded behind is for...not backs, legs, arms, scrotum.

And a hand should be sufficient - not a switch and NOT a tree branch.

The Native Americans didn’t use corporal punishment. They used shame. If you misbehaved, you dishonored your parents and the community. To be shamed was something a child tried to avoid at all costs.

The child was treated with dignity - and learned dignity. Imagine that.

My brother and I were spanked as children. Did us no harm. In fact, I’d say we grew into responsible adults as a result.

I know some of my age bracket who were raised according to Dr. Spock. Spock did not believe in corporal punishment. Many of these individuals have a number of “issues” as a result. And more than a few of them are infected with that disease known as liberalism.

ahahah - 'the LOOK can be more feared than a spanking - the fear of 'what if'

Good strategy.

"Banishment" works well to. Being sent off to a corner or room or someplace away from others until you're ready to be with the family, friends, etc.

Actually denial is better. You spank a kid and once it’s over it’s forgotten. Secondly adults have, without thinking, used things that amplify their power such as belts, sticks, etc. An adult’s hand coming down on a child’s backside can actually do internal injury. You deny a kid, freedom (go stand in a corner) or things (no favorite program) or cancelling a trip for them ... etc etc ...

There is a difference between legal immigration and illegal immigration, but low-information types refuse to acknowledge the difference.

There is a difference between fasting and binge-purging, but low-information types refuse to acknowledge the difference.

There is a difference between corporal punishment and assault-and-battery, but low-information types refuse to acknowledge the difference.
