Reports surfaced Wednesday night that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was "booed off the stage" at an event hosted by a purportedly Christian organization.
Cruz, the keynote speaker at the new "In Defense Of Christians" organization's dinner in Washington DC, had offered the crowd--a number of whom were Christians from the Middle East, including Palestinian Christians--public support for Israel. After doing so, some members of the crowd booed at Cruz, and they persisted until he left the stage, noting their hatred and saying he can't stand with them if they don't stand with Israel.

This leads into another issue - Christian intolerance of other faiths, such as Mormonism or Buddhism. I note a personal dissonance in Christians over freedom of religion vs. strict scriptural interpretation.
My mom was a hard core catholic and she hated the jews. I think she said the jews crucified jesus or some such.
Revelation: Christians win!
You’re surprised that a Christian hates Jews? You haven’t read much history. I’m a 65 year old Jew, and in my lifetime, I’ve encountered plenty of Christians who hated Jews, mostly not to the point that they would do anything violent, but not always.
About twenty years ago members of my congregation going to synagogue for Saturday morning Sabbath services found a pig head hanging on the door. To the credit of our community, 400 people of all denominations showed up that week for a unity service, and the judge threw the book at the perps.
In the Middle East, it’s compounded by the lack of civilization there, and the fact that Arab Christians are Arabs first. I encountered that when talking to a Lebanese woman right after 9-11. She is Christian, and her brother had been murdered by Palestinians. Yet, she hates Israel.
Some people just dont GET IT!
Stockholm Syndrome. They seem to have it bad.
Is the Defense of Christians a Palestinian ACLU meant to weaken Christian relations with Israel?
I am thankful that Ted Cruz’s pro-Israel stance shone the light of truth on that organization.
TED CRUZ 2016
I have many Christian friends in the Middle East, and this does not surprise me one bit. You have to understand that these people have family in the Middle East, and that’s who colors their views about Jews. These family members are marinated within the same anti-Israel propaganda that Muslims in the Middle East imbibe in.
I grew up Baptist in the south, now married to a Jewish woman. I never met any Christians that were anti Israel or Jewish. As a matter of fact, I was taught that the Jews are Gods’ chosen people and we were to support them. Yes, there are nutjobs out there that call themselves Christians, but they are CINOs (Christian in Name Only).
DO NOT TRUST RAND PAUL! PERIOD!!!
... the stakes are high in the next couple of elections .... the fate of this country and the entire world are at stake.
.... it will get turbulent.
Seems like a group coopting Christianity.
Thanks for telling them, Ted.
rand paul is a wolf in sheeps clothing, is no patriot, and back during the Revolution, would have been a tory.
rand and his father claim to love the Constitution, but I don't believe either one of them.
So freaking sick & tired of these frauds masquerading as “Christians”.
Genesis 12:3 is enough to send these clowns back to whatever cult they came from.
I went to Catholic School for twelve years and never heard a word of Jew hatred.

Dhimmis indeed. You cannot appease a dragon, lion or panther. They will devour you.
..Jesus while on earth—Jew. The Apostles—Jews. All the writers of the New Testament except perhaps Luke—Jews. Pathological thinking which denies this cannot be called Christianity. God bless Sen Cruz
Dave, I know the history between self-described Christians and Jews has been violent....I am speaking in the context of what I consider classical Christian doctrine.
I do hope you consider the number of people who denounced the crime versus the number who committed the deed. Even more important, I hope you consider the teaching of Christ and the apostles....none of them condoned violence or taught their followers to commit violence against others. The fact their words have been ignored by purported followers does not detract from the truth of their teachings.
Of course, like Israel, we do believe there ARE reasons for a “just war”....but as you know that is a far cry from violating a place of worship. We also believe there is a call to “ make disciples”—but that does NOT involve coercion or force.
Islam, as we all can acknowledge, is very, very different.
I grew up Jewish in York, PA, and I don’t look Jewish. I heard plenty when they didn’t think a Jew was listening, and lot more when they didn’t care that Jew was listening. I really don’t care, because it never really hurt me, and those private clubs that didn’t allow Jews to join changed their policy when they got into financial trouble, and wanted our money. One went bankrupt.
But get off your high horses. Until America and Israel, Jews suffered at the hands of Christians who hated us, Christians who had the support of their sovereigns, and if you don’t think they were not “real” Christians, they would disagree, probably think the same about you.
Is your wife still Jewish, or has she become a Christian?
Medieval, Renaissance and Reformation Europe must have been full of “pseudo” Christians. So was Nazi Germany, Austria, Poland, and 19th century Russia.
My wife and I have a friend who is a “Palestinian Christian” - in name, but not in heart. She is loudly and hatefully against Jews. Wishes death to them all.
