....Obama was turned down at several top golf courses in Westchester while he was visiting the area over Labor Day weekend, sources tell NBC 4 New York. The Trump National Golf Club, the Winged Foot and Willow Ridge were among some of the elite courses that rebuffed the president's request to tee off there, according to several sources who were told about the president's advance team's calls to the club managers.

If I was a business owner or manager of a Country Club I wouldn’t want him within ten miles - especially on a potentially profitable day or weekend.
Sure you get publicity - But you lose the course for the whole day as far as your real PAYING customers go.

only a supreme narcissist would expect private clubs to basically shut down for most or all of the 3-day weekend to accommodate his security - with 1-2 days notice
Not to mention the employees having to be screened or kept away
Not to mention all the surrounding businesses losing access to their customers, people losing access to their neighborhoods, and all the airspace shut down within a several mile radius, etc etc etc
I’ve read that when he plays at Andrews all 4 courses have to be shut down for most of the day. The base is essentially his private golf club
I’m sure those who paid membership dues have gotten mighty sick of being shafted so many times in the past 6 years

What has amazed me is how narcissistic his acolytes have acted on his behalf since he came on the scene. I understand the concept of enablers and how narcissists worm there way into people’s good graces but it’s as if the followers are Obama Jrs.
Club managers apparently did not want to inconvenience their high-powered and high-paying members over Labor Day weekend by shutting down their courses to accommodate the president.
How much would it have cost to shut the courses down? How many members would have quit and joined other clubs? My guess is that it would not be made up by the “prestige” of having the Golfer in Chief play.
