The framers of the Constitution did not envision "King Barack I" when they formed the separation of powers within the federal government, said Republican strategist Karl Rove.
Lawmakers are debating whether President Barack Obama is attempting to shift the balance of power to an imperial presidency by threatening to use executive action in bypassing Congress to enact his policies.
The framers of the Constitution "did not want a king. They didn't want King George III, and certainly didn't want King Barack I," Rove, former deputy chief of staff to President George W. Bush, told Fox News' "America's Newsroom" on Wednesday.
Story continues below video.
Obama on Tuesday mocked House Majority Leader John Boehner's threat to sue him over his use of executive action. He challenged Boehner to "sue me," arguing that he felt compelled to act on issues Congress had not addressed.
"This man has done more to reinstitute the concept of the imperial presidency since the time that [former Republican President] Richard Nixon put the White House Secret Service uniform division in those weird uniforms," Rove said.

Actually they did.
What they did not envision was a Congress so filled with compromised spineless weasels that they would not trigger the remedies they wrote into our Constitution.

"Lawmakers are debating whether President Barack Obama is attempting to shift the balance of power to an imperial presidency by threatening to use executive action in bypassing Congress to enact his policies."Because there's not a drop of testosterone between the lot of 'em and they're sharing 4 brain cells, or they'd KNOW the ****** is usurping the authority given by the people and they'd actually DO something ... like have him arrested.
Every one of 'em are lawyers (or most of 'em, anyway) and they know how to word a charge and make it stick.

The Constitution and Bill of Rights were made for a moral people and are inadequate for anything else.Liberty must be born in the hearts of men first. The laws provide a framework through which this liberty can operate, but it doesn't place freedom in the hearts of men.

They did. And they put checks and balances in place to try to prevent a king.
- An elected Congress with power to impeach (made impotent by career politicians who's loyalty is to power and party and not to the country.)
- A press with second amendment rights. (Made impotent by ownership being concentrated in two few hands and foreign ownership of the press).
- A separate judicial branch with the power to interpret law, determine constitutionality, order discovery, and apply these to individual cases. (Made impotent by the stacking of the SCOTUS with liberals, and precedents that prevent too many people from having standing).
- A military for national defense, separate from domestic police. (Made impotent by Homeland security and various national police forces.)

Kommie Karl Rove is one of the main reasons Obama got elected, and runs amok.
Rove supports Obama by going after Conservative candidates willing to stand up to Obama
Rove’s management of campaigns managed to lose the overall popular vote in 2000 to AL GORE. Let that fact sink in

Glad to see you’re catching on Karl. Just one more point though, the founding fathers didn’t envision a king from the GOP either.

So Karl raises money to fund candidates who will acquiesce to the cretin’s demands. Keep up the good work, and say hello to your animal-abusing pal Thad. Bob

Am I the only one who finds what he is saying ironic? Seeing as how it is the Country Club RINOs like him and the Bushes who helped to create Obama.
