Senate majority leader Harry Reid claims that one side--the Democrats--doesn't "have any" billionaire backers:

They not only have many individual billionaires and multi-multi-millionaires, they have almost the entire entertainment and news industry propagating the liberal line. It’s many billions spent on lib propaganda yearly. And I’m not even counting all the lib propaganda spewed daily by our fine public institutions of learning.

They’re not senile. Most Americans will believe this because msm is their only source of information.

I seriously think Harry Reid has a mental disorder, be it dementia, early alzheimers, or other. The top 3 richest Americans (Gates/Buffett/Ellison) are all Democrat supporters, who might toss some crumbs in the way of a Republican here or there. They are then followed in the wealth category by the Brothers Koch. Harry would not be ignorant of that fact were his ‘mind’ operating on all cylinders.
Reid should be removed due to mental incapacity.

Maybe all these billionaires re not formally registered and enrolled as Democrat party members, but their preferences are clear in many instances, as “sugar daddies” for the otherwise morally and politically bankrupt liberal Democrat office seekers and hangers-on.
They are only counterbalanced by the number who have shifted somewhat to the side of Republican office-seekers, and much of that support is directed not to conservative candidates, but to what are commonly identified as RINOs.
So, on net, the conservative point of view is the less well-funded.
