A recently released Congressional report makes the case that President Obama was indeed behind the IRS abuse of conservative and Tea Party groups.
Evidence has been found linking the IRS attacks to senior Democrat members of Congress, and shows that the IRS broke the law by providing confidential tax information to Democrats and to the Department of Justice. This information was then used against conservative individuals and groups to silence their dissent.
Meanwhile, only a year after they were requested, the IRS finally agreed to release all of Lois Lerner’s emails, which should provide further evidence linking the IRS attack to Washington and the White House. Conveniently however, the IRS just now says that two years worth of Lerner’s emails have mysteriously vanished in a hard drive crash that occurred in 2011.
Most people aren’t buying the IRS excuse though, especially conservative columnist and Fox News contributor Charles Krauthammer, who thinks the IRS is either stalling or deliberately destroyed evidence. He reacted to the story, and the statement from the White House defending the IRS’ lame excuse, saying what happened constitutes a “high crime” worthy of impeachment.

It’s entirely reasonable because it’s the truth and it’s fact, and speculation otherwise I think is indicative of the kind of conspiracies that are propagated around this story. There is ample evidence to indicate that a good faith effort has been made by the IRS to cooperate with Congressional oversight, and the far-fetched skepticism expressed by some Republican members of Congress I think is not at all surprising and not particularly believable.

Ok, Charles, but they’d replace Biden a la Agnew, and with whom?
some ‘unimpeachable’ insider , with abundant evidence , needs to rat this man out . To the max . There is someone out that that knows his secrets , knows the truth . They need to come forward . The man they are protecting does not deserve the protection .
He did and he should.
If he is permitted to elude justice, he will set the pattern for future evils even worse.
Not only should he be impeached, he should be tried for treason and imprisoned for life.

Someone needs to first check the appropriate records, which the Democrats will have made sure aren’t lost, and then ask Hillary about Kraut’s point here. She was a staffer on the impeachment committee and may well have a specific record on the subject. She certainly thought Nixon deserved to go and actually went beyond the call (and the rules) of duty to encourage that goal.

There’s a reason that everybody around the president is a crook. You don’t hire boy scouts to steal. There is probably not one honest person around him. There’s doubtless nobody honest close enough to give direct evidence. Before Obama took office I had lunch with a former state prosecutor. He went down the list starting with Holder and outlined their crimes. He shook his head and said, “nobody has ever occupied the office and surrounded himself with so many criminals. This is going to be horrible (for the people) on an epic scale.”

A replacement is in order, and it’s being worse should not be a reason not to go with it, but it could be exactly what they want, and we should be ready.
But a replacement could certainly be worse, esp if he or whoever it is he works for, chooses it, which they will.
I’d take Biden as pres any day of the week. BO’s handlers are a way underestimated. It’ll never happen.
And that could be the next dem candidate’s brand, tagline, bumper sticker and motto
They will need physical as well as legal protection because there is little doubt that some lunatic Obama supporter would try to murder them to shut them up.
So, toss Biden before he can get a VP confirmed. Then we could set about getting a new Speaker of the House.
