Obama to sign executive order protecting job rights for gay employees Order would ban federal contractors from discriminating against employees on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity
Suren Gambino 16 June 2014 After years of pressure from gay rights groups, President Obama is set to sign an executive order that would ban federal contractors from discriminating against employees on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity, a White House official has told the Associated Press.
The Obama administration has said it would prefer Congress to pass legislation that broadly extends workplace protections to all US employees. Such a bill passed the Senate last year but remains stalled in the Republican-dominated House.
Discriminating against employees on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity is not explicitly banned under US law, and Obama does not have the authority to extend such workplace protections to all US employees. He can, however, take action to bar employers from firing or harassing workers employed by companies that work with the US government because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. This would not require legislative approval.
A study by the Williams Institute thinktank at UCLA law school, found that the order would cover up to nearly 16 million workers and about 14 million workers would gain extra protections.
The White House said the order will build on previous orders that aim to ban workplace discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
The official did not say when Obama planned to sign the order just that he has asked staff to prepare the draft for his signature.

My next federal contract application will contain a little extra spithe.
The world is burning down around our shoulders and this fool is worried about the "rights" of a faggot?
FUBO.
The pervert in chief protects the sexual deviants.
Faggots add fuel to the fire.
“......on the basis of sexual orientation and...... gender identity”
Bozo and the gang are gonna push the “gender identity” to the maximum.....before his term expires and they can be voted out of office.
this is a definite NO NO!!
> The world is burning down around our shoulders and this fool is worried about the “rights” of a faggot
It’s called “protecting your own”
Obama is only concerned about his own job rights when you think about it.
The Gender Identity...portion of this “order” is a tad scarey!!
I think its time for GIANT Pushback!!
But it’s still open season on Christians in the workplace
Selective concern for the mentally ill.
I can’t see the faggots getting any special privileges from this little piece of legislation just like I can’t see them abusing it to retaliate against people they don’t like by making false allegations...
We need several special sets of laws:
A set of laws to make sure homosexuals get what they deserve.
A set of laws to make sure that blacks get what they deserve.
And a set of laws to make damn sure that Whitey gets what he deserves. Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes.
So, basically....no matter how bad of a f***-up an employee is, you CANNOT fire them if they are homosexual.
He spends the weekend at a gay couples home and now he signs another EO.
He plays golf while Iraq burns.
He ignores the Constitution
And He does what he wants with no repercussions from Congress.
This will not end well for the Republic

Not if it’s Romney in 2016.
Romney was more pro-gay, he has supported Gay Scout leaders and homosexualizing the military for at least 20 years, he gave America gay marriage, and he campaigned on being better to accomplish the homosexual agenda than Ted Kennedy.
Mitt Romney:
I am more convinced than ever before that as we seek to establish full equality for Americas gay and lesbian citizens, I will provide more effective leadership than my opponent.
I am not unaware of my opponents considerable record in the area of civil rights, or the commitment of Massachusetts voters to the principle of equality for all Americans. For some voters it might be enough for me to simply match my opponents record in this area. But I believe we can and must do better. If we are to achieve the goals we share, we must make equality for gays and lesbians a mainstream concern. My opponent cannot do this. I can and will.
We have discussed a number of important issues such as the Federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), which I have agreed to co-sponsor, and if possible broaden to include housing and credit, and the bill to create a federal panel to find ways to reduce gay and lesbian youth suicide, which I also support. One issue I want to clarify concerns President Clintons dont ask, dont tell, dont pursue military policy. I believe that the Clinton compromise was a step in the right direction. I am also convinced that it is the first of a number of steps that will ultimately lead to gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly in our nations military. That goal will only be reached when preventing discrimination against gays and lesbians is a mainstream concern, which is a goal we share.
As we begin the final phase of this campaign, I need your support more than ever. By working together, we will achieve the goals we share for Massachusetts and our Nation.
Sincerely, W. Mitt Romney
And to defend themselves against bias complaints, employers across the land start interrogating their employees. Please divulge sexual orientation so we can prove we fire and promote just as many gays as straights.
It is time for all to realize, know, and understand that all ‘Executive Orders’ only apply inside the beltway. They only apply to the ‘Corporation’. So we can all tell Barry-O and his ‘Ex-Orders’ to FUC_ OFF. (Unless you consider yourself a part of the ‘Corporation’.
I am not a part of the ‘Corporation’...he is not my president.
