NEW ORLEANS -- Herman Cain, who ended his 2012 presidential campaign amid allegations of multiple affairs, said Saturday that he might run for president again in 2016.
Cain, in a speech at the Republican Leadership Conference here, brought up the prospect of another run toward the end of his speech. He then suggested he would do it if he were called by God.
I do not know what the future holds, but I know who holds the future," the Georgia businessman said. "And I trust in God.
Cain, 68, was a brief front-runner for the GOP nomination in 2011 but dropped out, before any actual votes were cast, in early December of that year.

Who said that blacks would be the group directed at?
It is a given, no matter what the GOP ticket blacks will vote 95 percent Democrat no matter what.
Please don’t.
Too late for Herman. Time is past.
If he runs again, I’ll vote for him again.
Why ?
I wish black candidates whether announced or have supporters pushing their candidacy would take a serious look at the divisive policies used by socialists led and implented by Obama. And speak out against them.
Those really began with Obama’s use of the “Bully Pulpit” in the Zimmerman case. There are supporters circulating a petition for Carson to run for POTUS. He for one demonstrated no idea of what occured and issued a statement a couple of months ago which was in FR concluding with nearly defending Treyvon’s action. Here you have report after report here in FRs of black kids attacking non blacks which too often ends in death using that episode generated by the regime as an excuse for these attacks. In which the POTUS says nothing.
Where Obama’s two utterances; “could have been my son” and “could have been me” ill considered off hand remarks? Not hardly, they were two grenades being tossed. Cold calculated inflamatory remarks designed to gin up his base which I submit he doesn’t deserve. Because the blacks have fared worse under his admiinistration.
What was the thinking behind these utterances generated by ? First the socialist utopian concept of population resettlement and concentrating people into population ceters where reliance on public transport would reduce use of “fossil fuels”.
In fact there was policy statement issued shortly after the SHTF by HUD refering to the issue as a solution. The dots were left unconnedted even though there were a few commentators who did connect that to those “Bully Pulpit” bomblasts.
The other of course is the political use of division but the problem is until leading blacks are willing to confront what was done and speakout against it. Such announcements have little value.
I’ve listened to him for nigh on a year now. Honestly, he’s a nice man, but he is not equipped to be President in my opinion. He is a savvy businessman, but a horrible politician, and I think that he would be the butt of Democrat ridicule during his entire term in office, not to mention an interminable onslaught of new sexual harassment allegations..
To me, he seems too willing to argue the logic and reason of any conservative point and giving both sides their due. He seems unwilling to use the kind of in-your-face confrontation and response that I think a conservative leader should have given the kind of enemy we have in Democrats. We have an ideological and defacto war going on with Democrats and we need to act like it. We need to crush them utterly and completely - not have tea with them.
The egos must be dealt with by a straightforward message- Jeb Bush or another anointed GOPe candidate wins if they all get in the race. Is that what they want????
I THINK AMONG THE GINGRICH’S, CAIN’S, SANTORUM’S ONE FINDS FRONT MEN FOR THE GOP ESTABLISHMENT.....
I’d be wary simply because he’s proven himself not only vulnerable to scandal but compliant to the leftist script of “apologize and drop out”. Not so keen on bothering with him this round. Let him play a support role, he’s not a lead. Ted Cruz is a lead...
“How long before Newt and Santorum starts dropping hints?”
Santorum already has. And Huckabee.
If he just claims to be gay or a tranny, a muslim, a commie, and to really hate America the left will line up to vote for him.
bump
Cain was a brief novelty with his 9-9-9 plan, nothing more, nothing less...........
And a great big SO WHAT?
I agree. I don't think he has a prayer and I also don't think he wants to go through the anal inspection again.
He did not handle that well- - - - AT ALL.
If he should wind up with the Republican nomination I would vote
We can not let The "SHES SO COLD" witch anywhere near the WH ever again.
I like Dr. Ben. But he has NO chance since he has not held any elective office.
RE: Cain was a brief novelty with his 9-9-9 plan, nothing more, nothing less...........
Novelty and Cain aside, is 9-9-9 a better idea for taxation than the one we currently have?
Either one is better than Cain. And West is by far the best choice, but he is too conservative for the Rep establishment.
I love you Herman but you are too old.
We need a Governor to head the ticket, then maybe Carson at VP.
