This is exactly the type of corruption and pandering that caused this administration’s many scandals. The Democratic Party suffers from a complete lack of basic accountability. Its first instinct is to lie and cover up.
Hillary Clinton’s world was so worried about a Republican investigation of the Benghazi attacks, they sent a message to House Democrats: We need backup.
So Clinton emissaries launched a back channel campaign, contacting several House Democratic lawmakers and aides to say they’d prefer Democrats participate, according to sources familiar with the conversations.
Hillary Clinton stacked the first investigation of Benghazi with her people. Now she has managed to do it in Congress.
“Republicans are making it clear they plan to use the power of the Benghazi Select Committee to continue to politicize the tragedy that occurred in Benghazi, which is exactly why Democratic participation in the committee is vital,” a Democrat close to Clinton world said. “Inevitably, witnesses ranging from Secretary Clinton to Secretary [John] Kerry will be subpoenaed to testify, and the Democrats appointed to the committee will help restore a level of sanity to the hearings, which would otherwise exist solely as a political witch hunt.”
So we’ve got the Clinton-Dem talking points on the table. They don’t intend to investigate the murder of four Americans in any way. They are there to protect Hillary Clinton and accuse any investigators of being crazies engaged in a witch hunt.
If Clinton testifies, it will almost certainly be one of the blockbuster moments for the committee and an important prelude as she considers a second run for the White House.
She can pound the table some more and shriek, “What difference does it make anyway.”
Pelosi picked Reps. Linda Sanchez and Adam Schiff of California, Adam Smith of Washington state and Tammy Duckworth of Illinois to fill the panel. Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, will serve as ranking member.
Cummings became notorious for his frenzied obstructionism and tantrums. Linda Sanchez can blame the Vietnamese. Again.
Tammy Duckworth will be there to provide cover for the anti-military party as a token.
New York Rep. Eliot Engel said Democrats “shouldn’t allow” the investigation to be “made about one person.
“I think the American public feels that Hillary Clinton did an outstanding job as secretary of state and if Republicans are using Benghazi to blemish her record, I don’t think it will stick,” Engel said.
That must be why no one can seem to name anything Clinton did in office… except Benghazi.
Pure Kabuki Theater.
I sure hope Rep. Gowdy has no nonsense hearings where he keeps the Rats on a short leash. If I were him, I would flat out tell the Rats that if they weren’t on the committee to get answers, to leave and not come back.

"Follow the money" is putting Swiss banks on expensive notice, most recently Credit Suisse for fines of $2.3 billion, that certain accounts are subject to US government scrutiny and (unspoken) certain are not. And no one in the media dares to connect the dots.
I’m anxious to see this committee get underway. In my view Trey Gowdy is going to be Cummings, Pelosi, Hillary and the Rats’ worst nightmare.
Gowdy’s big problem will be the Dem leaks. Most of the committee’s work will involve depositions, behind closed doors..and the Dems on the committee will leak it all to their 5th column media sources to shape the story..

No doubt you’re right....Gowdy is a brilliant guy when it come to the law, the leakers better make sure their tracks are covered.
The puppet masters have the regime and media firmly in control.
Expect Benghazi to die a silent death.
Hillary and Obama could carve up a crying, screaming baby on the White House lawn and the MSM would not report; the powers that be would do nothing; the Supreme court itself would bow down in obsequy.

If the repubs vote 7-5 to get the findings to the floor of the house, that’s enough to get articles of impeachment on the docket.
I remember the two CNN anchors crying when Clinton was impeached and how the dems all came out to the rose garden behind Clinton while he made one of his “I’m not a crook or pervert” speeches.
This will be the same only a hundred times louder. Yhe media will be in full defensive spasm.
The republicans should deal with the facts and go full speed ahead.
The more the dems scream and huff and puff the more we know the hearings are on track.
Trey Gowdy has more brain cells in his pinky finger than the witch has gray matter, if any.

Every Dem will leak...you can’t stop it..I do think that Gowdy should hold a weekly press conference...to lay out everything
I wish they’d start the public hearings, but apparently Gowdy is taking a slow, meticulous approach, much like a determined prosecutor preparing for court.
I suspect he’ll be conducting interviews and taking depositions away from public view and media scrutiny.
When he’s good and ready he’ll announce a public hearing, probably with short notice.
The uncertainty of what he is up to will drive the rats nuts. LOL!!!
I can’t wait to see if Trey Gowdy limits questions to 30 or 60 seconds and pulls the political rug out from under the dems before they start their showboating and pontificating.
You can expect that all you want, and any other defeatist BS you can come up with. The Special Ops guys have a different plan.
