Noor Hussein, 75, was so outraged over the prospect of eating the vegetarian fare that he pummeled his wife, Nazar Hussein, 66, inside their Brooklyn apartment until she was a “bloody mess,” prosecutors said in opening statements of his murder trial Wednesday.

So what? Whatever he believes culturally about beating his wife, is against the law here. And the law must be upheld.

What I think is disgusting is that the (city-paid, I believe) defense attorney defended him by saying “He comes from a culture where he thinks this is appropriate conduct, where he can hit his wife. He culturally believed he had the right to hit his wife and discipline his wife.”
The new leftist mantra is that “culture,” as long as it’s Muslim or Third World, at least, trumps human rights. Even the words, “discipline his wife,” shouldn’t be said by an American, let alone defending him for killing her.
The defense attorney is a woman, too, btw. Disgusting.
After all, all cultures are equal. Who are we to judge? We see everything through the prism of oppressive Western culture. /s /s /s

The defense arguments are both frightening and embarrassing.
We implicitly allow this in America as they are brought here-with their failed cultures- for money and votes. Almost every week brings reports of bizarre acts and beliefs; i.e. “honor killings,” “Jihads,” raising foreign flags,taxpayer supported aliens and last but not least “Fatwas!”
