House Speaker John Boehners staff says he has not made a commitment to the White House to move an overhaul of the immigration laws this year, pushing back against comments made this week by a senior advisor in the Obama administration made this week.
Valerie Jarrett told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that she thinks theres a window this summer, between now and August, to get something done.
We have a commitment from Speaker Boehner, whos very frustrated with his caucus, Jarrett told the newspaper.
Michael Steel, a spokesman for the Ohio Republican, said Boehner has not made a commitment to the White House.

Well, you’re certainly right. The Democrats would love to sow dissent in Republican ranks. The problem, however, is Boehner, Cantor, Rubio, etc. make no bones about how much they personally want comprehensive immigration reform, aka amnesty. The lies work, if they’re that, because there’s more than an element of truth to them. I don’t know about you, but I don’t trust Boehner, Cantor, or the rest of the so-called GOPe one bit.
We don’t believe you John.
Boehner is the definition contradictory!
What he says yesterday, is not what he means today.
They need to dump Boehner now, as if obama is not bad enough this guy doubles down on chaos and confusion.
Val Jar ??? What office, you say? Why, she’s the Prezeedent, chief of everything Obummer. She’s the one who calls all the shots, she’s the one who knows where bummer was during Benghazi, etc.
She is captain of this ship? Mussie ties, you say? oh you betcha. That’s what un-elected office she runs. Our great country. Secret Service detail, dines in private quarters with O’s family........ on and on.
Press leaves her 100% alone. Sickening.
Right, left or in-between. I don’t care. PLEASE someone send Boehner packing. He’s a weasel among weasels.
Very good point.
No, I’m not talking about Boeher really - I’m talking about Jarrett more specifically. When Jarrett and anyone on the planet say something differently, I will believe whoever is NOT Valerie Jarrett every time.
Has nothing to do with trusting Boehner per se, not at all.
Boehner has undoubtedly made the commitment to the US Chamber of Commerce.
Very good point.
“Michael Steel, a spokesman for the Ohio Republican, said Boehner has not made a commitment to the White House”
He doesn’t have to make a commitment. Obama already knows that Boehner will go for amnesty. He already said so. Boehner is just waiting for his RINO buddies like Cantor to get through their primaries. Then it’s full speed ahead on amnesty. The Chamber of Commerce already gave him his orders.
Boehner and his GOPe crew have been playing yo yo with everyone.
About every other month, Boehner or one of his GOPe’r comes out to whisper(campaign) they will get “immigration reform” done to the DU-Ds [Val Jar] and to the crony capitalists [Thomas Donahue] in the chamber of commerce followed by prompt denials.
Boehner knows over 80% to +90% of the House Rs won’t support amnesty for illegals in any form. If Boehner tries to jam through amnesty with the bare minimum of RINO votes and every D vote, he puts in jeopardy his speakership. The question is will Boehner risk his job?
So we get this yo yo, back and forth, campaign to keep the big R money donors on a string.
What office does Jarrett hold?
I dont remember voting for her...

Picky! Picky! Picky! Don’t be so technical. No, nobody actually voted for her, but she is actually our president, comrade.
Anyone that gets that close to the POS needs some serious sit down time while the facts are ‘splaned to him.
Come to think of it, they are BOTH a POS.
