House Speaker John Boehners staff says he has not made a commitment to the White House to move an overhaul of the immigration laws this year, pushing back against comments made this week by a senior advisor in the Obama administration made this week.
Valerie Jarrett told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that she thinks theres a window this summer, between now and August, to get something done.
We have a commitment from Speaker Boehner, whos very frustrated with his caucus, Jarrett told the newspaper.
Michael Steel, a spokesman for the Ohio Republican, said Boehner has not made a commitment to the White House.

Did “Orange “Boy”” get caught “Red-Handed”?
From the article: Jarrett tweeted Friday that her comments were misconstrued and that Boehner has made [a] commitment to trying, not that he has made commitment to us or time frame.”
Busted.
On a side note, Boehner’s Amnesty Czar Becky Talent has all the gravitas of Brittany Spears. This lady is in charge of pushing Amnesty:

No, I actually believe Boehner on this one. Close call, but I don’t think Jarrett is capable of actually ever uttering anything true.
I also think Boehner changed his tune a few weeks ago when he saw data as to what 12 million new Dem voters would do to our electoral system forever.
Who believes Boehner on anything? The man has absolutely no credibility. He’s a total disgrace.
What office does Jarrett hold?
I don’t remember voting for her...
It is in the White House’s interest to stir conflict within the Republican ranks.
It may be true, or it might be White House lies.
Boehner was heard in the background...’ Boo hoo, it’s too haaaaaaaaaard.”
If there ever was a picture of satan’s wife, Jarrett would be perfect.
Whatever conflict there is in the Republican ranks is due more to inept leadership within the party than anything the White Hut is doing. The GOP is directionless and devoid of any grounding principles. Just my opinion.
It was true .is not now .but what remains, is that the White House lies all the time.
Well, one of them is lying. But which one? Boehner? Jarrett? Jarrett? Boehner?
Damn. That is one tough call.
What office does Jarrett hold?
Puppet Master!
1) There is a brazen liar in this story.
2) It is NOT Valerie Jarrett!
Satan must be out shopping for a parka.
Let make a deal. Eric Holder needs to "get something done" on the IRS scandal, indictments, convictions, etc. and THEN we can talk about "immigration reform".
Jarrett said: “We have a commitment from Speaker Boehner, whos very frustrated with his caucus.”
I gotta say I believe Valerie Jarrett on this one.
Speaker Boehner opposes amnesty like President Obama opposed homosexual marriage before his views “evolved”.
I think Boehner, Cantor, and many other Republican leaders are drooling at the chance to amnesty illegal aliens who are here now and open our borders wide to far greater legal immigration. There’s just that pesky American voter thing. Darn constituents!
I should also note that as bad as the Republicans are, they’re clearly still divided on amnesty or we’d already have it. Boehner has to tread carefully or there will be a revolution in the party. Compare that to the Democrats who would (and have) eagerly voted for amnesty in near perfect unison.
Are you talking about John, there is no deal to raise taxes, Boehner? Problem is, this guy is such a liar, you can’t ignore accusations made by another liar.
“House Speaker John Boehners staff says he has not made a commitment to the White House”
First off, it is his staff speaking, not him, so he can deny the deny anytime.
Second, hearing these comments uttered by him would be like him telling his AA buddies, no, hic, I did not, hic, have a drink, hic.
If I want to break into your home but don’t because I’m scared you might have a gun, I’m still basically a thief at heart. “Trying” means Boehner wants amnesty. He’s just scared of the political ramifications and rightly so. Amnesty by any other name (comprehensive immigration reform) is extremely unpopular with rank and file Republican voters.
