They are guilty of stealing several heads of sheep from a local farm
A Saudi court ordered the severing of the right hands of two thieves accused of stealing sheep in line with Sharia, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.
The court in the southern town of Bisha issued the sentence against the two defendants after they were found guilty of stealing several heads of sheep from a local farm.
The chief judge told the defendants they can appeal the sentence, which was handed down by a three-judge panel.
Sabq Arabic language daily said the sentenced involved the amputation of the rights hands of the two defendants from the wrist.
It’s so odd though, because if someone commits rape it’s the victim that gets punished. Oh, same thing I guess, here we elect them to higher office.
We not only send them to Congress, they run the Federal Reserve and the banking system too!

If the same was true here there would not be a politician who was not a quadriplegic...of course they would have an exemption.

I don’t endorse Sharia law but it is a good crime deterrent to alleviate thefts, plus cuts down on back round checks. I mean, yo, if a job applicant is missing a hand, I guess he’s a thief.
I never ventured far from the international hotel and work while there.. And with good cause, apparently.
This sounds very suspicious to me. Unless they have changed their laws in the last nine months, the cutting off the hand punishment is bogus.
I remember someone telling me 40 years ago about this happening in those arab countries.
When I was a kid...newly enlisted in the AF...I shared a flight with a guy that was living and working in Saudi Arabia. He showed me his watch...big gold jobbie, and said he could put it on the hood of his car and leave it there all day. He said you’d occassionally see a man with one hand, but he had yet to see a man with no hands. For what it’s worth....
