“I COMPLETELY BLAME the education system, and the media!!! Say whatyou will about GW he loves his country!!! THE MEDIA DESTROYED HIM!!! JUST AS THE MEDIA HAS DESTROYED THE TEA PARTY!!!!These ARE VERY DANGEROUS times for our republic GW was a SAINTcompared to this SOB, and don’t you EVER forget that!!!!!”

It’s apparent that you have forgotten that the Bush clan and their, sick, anti-constitutional ideology helped bring us to this current cancerous political state. First, they tried to diminish and destroy Reagan as a candidate. Then, they tried to cut his legs off every step of his eight years. Finally, they ran from his policies and agenda as quickly as possible after his final term I.e. back to the multitude of new offices...

Saints all, I’m sure.

According to the polls, Tillis loses to Hagan, whereaas Brannon would win against her.

Any politicians who votes for those 3 items, I will cross out from my support list permanently. Especially increasing welfare and putting illegals ahead of those waiting in line legally. I waited 10 years to acquire my citizenship legally. I will never support illegals placed ahead of legal immigrants.

You can GO ON AND ON all YOU want BUT UNTIL you HAVE the
millions it takes to pull YOUR candidate over the line YOU are whistling
In the wind, and so are the rest of us!!! START a PAC and back who you
want!!! Absolutely NOTHING you can do YOU do not have the money to
buy these candidates!!! As much as I despise Karl Rove he has the money
to get his candidates elected!!! Tea Party is just starting to battle the money situation they have been DESTROYED in the media, most of the general public has NO idea what they truly stand for and right now OUR
first priority should be getting RID of all and any DEMS with any R!!!

Tragic - yes, I agree. And I second your well written comments about Tillis and the comparison to the ghastly Thad and Mack. I don't have an answer for you. And yes, I agree wholeheartedly that the Tillis election was bought and paid for by people who do not have our interests or the country's interests at the core.

I used to be amazed to how the politicians changed when they had been in DC for a term or two; it no longer shocks me.

Part of the problem is the media. The media can destroy anyone they choose unless one is a very talented and capable politician (such as Cruz). Most politicians are average and can't fight what the media throws at them, so the politician becomes timid and utters meaningless sound bites. I have no answer for this, either.

We are in a bad situation, which is why I think something is better than nothing. I think your comment about the game we are playing, where we immediately start to complain when they arrive in office is EXACTLY how it is today. I have thought about this before and as bad as that is, I think that may be the best we can do at the moment. I know that seems horrible, but I do believe that is where we are today.

That means when they get in office, we have to be vigilant and basically bully them to do what we want. Immigration is the perfect example. the only reason it has not passed is because the politicians do hear from us and they do listen from time to time.

Having said that, I have no doubt the House Republicans will eventually betray us at a time convenient to them and will then try to claim what they voted for isn't really what they voted for.

That could be my final straw because it is a huge issue that will change the character of this country, but in the meantime, the best we can do is something is better than nothing.

I hope they enjoy senators who think “Obamacare is a good idea”.

You're being as deceptive as Kay Hagan on that one. Here's what he actually said:

"I think there’s a lot of things we can do if we focus on a systematic approach to eliminating the bad -- and the majority of the stuff that is in Obamacare is bad, because it’s not fiscally sustainable. It’s a great idea that can’t be paid for -- let’s focus on the net problem versus a policy that’s creating as many problems as it fixes in terms of health care, and then it’s also creating the most devastating problem of a deficit and debt that we can’t afford."

According to reports I heard on the radio this morning.

When you opt for “electability”, you usually lose.

Do not try to obfuscate the meaning of my post in terms of time periods and George the first. GHWB and GW are of the same ilk and seen themselves as masters of puppets. Father and his sacred cows were working against constitutional conservatism just as GW and his consultants (many of his fathers old guard) did the same. They, effectively, destroyed Newt in ‘96, thereby removing the last remaining vestige of constitutional governance (enter John Boehner and the Rove commision). Newt and his allies represented the last line of defense and semblance to Reagan (moreso the founders). They forced Clinton’s reluctant move and tempered Hillarycare. Naturally, when they were gone another Bush was waiting in the wings. With the Presidency and both houses of Congress, the republicans expanded executive and legislative powers (some of those being used against us today), along with dangerous spending. There isn’t a single rollback of the liberal advancement that can be attributed to either Bush, both card carrying member’s of the old Rockefeller wing. They did the job of the democrats, since the difference between the two ideolgies aren’t many. They, the “Statists”, destroyed the party and ushered in this current, insidious rebirth of marxism coupled with cronyism.

As you so eloquently stated, GW loved America. Unfortunately, this was not the America envisioned and prescribed by our founders. In addition, many republicans have adopted the strategy of lying about their conservatism when voters are awake (primary/election season) and retreating to their “Statist” governance when the drones go back to sleep.

Coincidentally, another Bush is being pushed...Make no mistake, both parties (especially at the federal level) with the exception of a few brave patriots are aiming for fundamental transformation, but neither is based on the adherence to the constitution.

Count me as one who will no longer be deceived....as Proverbs states - “As a dog returns to it’s vomit, so fools repeat their folly.”

that is just so much self righteous balderdash.

We have primaries to select two candidates by primaries. Just two are candidates, a democrat and a Republican. all others are pretenders, spoilers.

Once romney became the candidate he is the nominee and the only alternative to Barack Obama........All the conservative litmus tests are then invalid. A Republican or Obama? That is the question conservatives refused to answer. Many chose the cowards way out and lacking the backbone to make a decision, did not. They rationalized their own sacrosanct views out weighed the good of America...... we got Obama

I can almost see it happening again. Every high minded conservative and his sister is going to try to run. There will be such a split the GOPe candidate will win again. Then conservatives will spit and stay home out of spite.

Some legislation can hinge on one or a few votes. Other times, a few votes one way or the other won’t matter. A rep can maintain a 75% “conservative” record on the “safe” votes, then stab us in the back when it really counts and do nearly as much damage as if they voted with the Dems every time.

I refuse to sing the praises of ANY LIEberal or RINO!

HST, we must continue to push the conservative agenda!

Furthermore, we must vote against any and all Democrats in 2014.

If we desert the field of battle, THEY WIN!
