We have primaries to select two candidates by primaries. Just two are candidates, a democrat and a Republican. all others are pretenders, spoilers.
Once romney became the candidate he is the nominee and the only alternative to Barack Obama........All the conservative litmus tests are then invalid. A Republican or Obama? That is the question conservatives refused to answer. Many chose the cowards way out and lacking the backbone to make a decision, did not. They rationalized their own sacrosanct views out weighed the good of America...... we got Obama
I can almost see it happening again. Every high minded conservative and his sister is going to try to run. There will be such a split the GOPe candidate will win again. Then conservatives will spit and stay home out of spite.
My decision whether or not to vote third party comes down to this: If the person, such as Tom Ridge, Arlen Specter or Barbara Hafer of Pa. would probably join the Democrats if they lived in another state or district, they are not worth my vote. Specter and Hafer proved me right, and Ridge proved to be a big-spending liberal as governor. Bob
