PHILADELPHIA (CBS) Chris Stigall spoke with comedian Rob Schneider on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT about the struggle comedians face in todays current political environment. Schneider struck on ominous tone when discussing the path he sees the country on.
Democracies dont end well. We are sliding very fast towards fascism. Its an ugly kind of thing. Theres this kind of mob mentality that we have to be careful of, he said.
He believes comedians are pressured toward one side of the political spectrum.
Theres a polarization thats happening I do think you look can look at government and go, Wow, it is out of control now, and if you do criticize or tend to be not directly along a liberal stand, you can get murdered, Schneider commented.
Schneider was very critical of the Presidents handling of the economy and he feels certain policies are impacting businesses.
Theres not one segment of business under the Obama administration that hasnt been hurt he attacks for-profit schools, which is totally an elitist thing from a guy that went to Harvard. I think for free, by the way, Schneider said.
He was also critical of the media for being overly influenced by the government and not standing up for the American people.
We dont really have freedom of the press. Its owned by about eight different companies, and it doesnt really express or help the average American, Schneider stated.

Fascism Ping.
If we were really sliding to fascism, don’t you think someone would be complaining/fighting it?
Excerpt from Wikipedia:
In 2013, Schneider announced that he would no longer support the Democratic Party, citing California’s heavy regulations and calling the state’s economy a disaster. He became a member of the Republican Party and endorsed assemblyman Tim Donnelly for governor. In 2013, Schneider announced that he would no longer support the Democratic Party, citing California’s heavy regulations and calling the state’s economy a disaster. Who would think that Rob Schneider would be the guy to “get it”?
Well that's why I'm here, I don't know about you...
There are many rich powerful people who would profit from the elimination of the United States of America.
If we are going to save the Republic we need to take over information and discredit the State Run Media. We also need to shine a light on those wealthy men who want to destroy America and make them lepers.
One can’t help but wonder if this isn’t why government agencies are buying APC’s and purchasing hundreds of millions of rounds of citizen killer (hollow point) ammunition.
Fascism sneaks upon a society quietly, claiming it is the ultimate good. Of course it turns out to be the ultimate bad. No one recognizes it until it’s too late. Who’s going to save us this time?
>>If we were really sliding to fascism, dont you think someone would be complaining/fighting it?
No one ever complains during the slide into fascism. (None dare call it treason??) After all, who wants to appear alarmist or extremist? Who is willing to kill a judge or police officer or politician who abuses their power at this stage?
No one fights fascism until it is too late. After all, who’s willing to look back at Tim McVeigh and think, “Hmmm. Maybe he was really a visionary.”
The corporations, banks, and media are benefitting greatly from the slide into fascism so they won’t complain. No one cares what the working class thinks. And the poor think that the entitlement train will roll forever, not realizing that once we are in full fascism, their services as the people who break the economy will not be needed anymore and they’ll be reclassified as “useless eaters”.
I’m guessing you missed all those TEA party groups, the folks at the Bundy ranch in NV, the surge in talk radio, the surge in gun sales, the push against all the scandals, etc
the only thing we haven’t seen yet is politically motivated assassinations in the streets
once 0bamacare starts deducting from paychecks of people that are already going check to check... that’s when it’ll get exciting
First class thoughts from a second class entertainer - wow....
.
That’s because fascism is the softer sell than communism. Fascism gives the pretense of private ownership. Yes you can own your own home but we(the state) are going to tell you how to live in it. Yes you can own your own business or factory but we’re going to control the production process and dictate what your to pay your employees and what, if anything, what you’re going to pay yourself.
Are you saying we’re not?
The problem with fighters is that it’s not clear cut good vs. evil. Plenty of the people who are anti-government tend to go a little far, and get pretty alienating in how they operate. Tim McVeigh went way too far. Plenty of people not happy with how government is working would be easily as much, if not more, scared of people like him ever being close to a position of power.
Then there’s the fact that Anarchy is prospectively far more a nightmare than the current situation we have now.
Scheider’s right about the press. News Anchors pretty much make a whole lot more than the average American does.
