In a world where sex sells, CBS host Megan Alexander's decision to save herself for marriage stands out. The "Inside Edition" correspondent sat down with FOX411 to talk about why marriage still matters and how she stood up for her beliefs and said no to premarital sex.
"Sex is everywhere, it sells," Alexander told FOX411. "It's on magazine covers, it's in television shows, it's in movies and I think its pretty unusual when someone speaks out about waiting for marriage in the entertainment industry."
For Alexander, the decision to abstain from premarital sex was an easy one. Growing up in a Christian home and claiming her faith for herself in the 7th grade, the Seattle native always stood strong in her beliefs.

WOW! She is worth waiting for!
My friend, every girl who has enough self pride to wait for marriage is worth waiting for.
Most women would be worth waiting for if only they realized that. Young women today do not know what romance is. It is to them all about “hooking up” like two mating dogs I suppose.
If only women valued themselves and if only men valued women like they did back in the day, life would be more beautiful for them.
Too bad that values were traded for empty sex.

This was amazing.....such encouragement for young people!
God bless her.
If only women valued themselves and if only men valued women like they did back in the day, life would be more beautiful for them.

Cheap, effective contraception....

Would not have had an effect if proper moral and social training had been maintained in society.
Since the consequences of female promiscuous behavior no longer includes pregnancy, men no longer have to demonstrate responsibility and commitment before the woman consents to the sexual act. Women were society's and civilizations firewall to male reckless and irresponsible behavior. That firewall has been significantly breached and we are paying the price in a multitude of ways.
It wasn’t just the removal of the chance of pregnancy. I see that as just one of the factors. A whole lot more went into it; birth control came along at just the right time to aid the progressives in their destruction of family values.
