These are a fairly recent discovery that has not gotten the publicity it should have, imho. Discovered in 1995 by the respected Italian biologist, Aprile Pazzo, these fascinating creatures had bony plates on their heads that, fed by numerous blood vessels, could become burning hot, allowing the animals to bore through ice at high speeds. They used this ability to hunt penguins, melting the ice beneath the penguins and causing them to sink downwards into the resulting slush where the hotheads consumed them.

As a person of Viking heritage, I must protest this outrage against the noble memory of my Nordic forebears. It was bad enough that we were displaced by kitties, though I must admit they have done brave and valiant deeds, showing themselves mighty in battle, bringing dread upon all trolls and other such as trouble these fair shores. But now, to finally be edged completely out of the picture by those blind, soulless machines, that probably don’t even look good in Viking headgear? The indignity is almost more than I can bear.

I don't like the change - one never knew how the next Viking Kitty would look, but a plain old drone? - wouldn't bother to look at it. I hope this is a cruel April fool joke you have dumped on us. I used to like you, whoever you are, but now, not so sure if this change is set in stone already.

Also, I have a very delicate psyche and I feel I have to take a big old antidepressant pill for months in order to survive this change. I will send you the bill for the meds. I would go to a psychotherapist for treatment, but I am one so that is out. :o)
