There is only one goal here—it’s not to teach critical thinking. If you read the assignment document, your eyes will glaze over. It’s really to teach the conclusion that it’s OK for the Constitution to be modified as your political betters see fit, because it’s too complicated to really think about as a school student.

I’d guess the teachers would steer them toward 2 and 10...

but 10 is pretty much ignored anyway.

Maybe 2 and 4.

It would be interesting to know who inspired the question. Probably a Democrat.

So Putin was merely following the model provided here.

Set up a false pretense. Get a pseudo plebiscite to buttress the call to change things. Do it.

Who says our Bill of Rights is outdated?

Notice how they toss terrorist activity in the mix, to confuse the issue and convince the participants that there really is a dire need to get this done so we’ll be safe in the 21st Century?

It’s just one more con pulled on the American public by the criminal enterprise known as the Democrat Party.

Notice all the push back from what we jokingly refer to as the right? Crickets!

The next few years should be very interesting. I’m beginning to see the government’s need for stockpiling ammunition.

Why is that upsetting? It’s just a thought experiment is all. We did a lot of this in Law School.

Nothing wrong with this. It makes you appreciate the Bill of Rights quite frankly.

Obama and big government liberals like him erased the 9th and 10th Amendments long ago. The 1st Amendment’s Free Exercise clause died with ObamaCare. They are trying hard to kill the 2nd Amendment. The 4th’s prohibition on unreasonable search and seizure is dying. The 8th’s ban on excessive fines was crippled by the EPA and is being destroyed by ObamaCare fines. It’s almost too late to worry about losing the Bill of Rights. Almost.

If we don’t axe about 80% of this $4 trillion government SOON, we’re toast.

My grandson had the assignment in fifth grade in Keller, Texas. Boy did I give him a civics lesson. I told him that there wasn’t a problem with the Bill of Rights, just the way Liberal judges have been gutting and rewriting them to fit their agenda. I bet the teacher was surprised when he handed in his paper

If they were choosing to nix the 16th and 17th, I would have hope for America. Might be a good time to launch an educational campaign with that very goal in mind.

I guess I’d give up my right to an abortion and my right to free medical care. They’re in there, right? I was told they were; look behind a penumbra, I’m sure they’re there.

Common core no more.

Instead of reading, writing, arithmetic, and science, we have....

Reading that is boring and tedious, including federal manuals,

Writing in print, so that the curious can’t read The Founders or other original manuscripts,

Math that is nearly pure artifice, and

Science that is based on extremist junk. Not science, but the ‘art of science.’

Common core is uncommon lore. So, common core no more, and save the art for artists, the science for researchers, the language for those who love it, and the math for engineers and...musicians. Or retail shoppers!

Not to worry. Just the dhimmicraps polling future voters for platform planks for the 2024 election season.

Nothing to see here. Move along.
