CNN BREAKING: Malaysian Prime Minister holding unexpected 10a ET news conference #MH370
Malaysian Defense Min says Malaysian Prime Minister Razak will hold a presser on what he called new developments at 10aET #MH370
Missing plane family members tell CNN they have been called to a 9:30a meeting, before the 10a ET news conference #MH370. Something is up.
I doubt that there is new information -- just confirmation of the old information. The location given by the PM today is the same that has been out there for over a week in Inmarsat's Arc of the Last Ping.
Yet in light of all of this and with 14 nations searching off the coast of Australia, the Malaysians were still insisting that it went down in the Andamans and that after they insisted it went down in the South China Sea and that after they denied that they caught it on radar.
The Malaysians are just saving face by claiming that there is new data. It's just taken them a long time to come to grips with the old data.
My son was killed by a red light runner, the last thing I needed to see was the wreckage he died in.
“nope, too many very weird instances with this.”
As in an airliner over the ocean going off course and crashing? That’s never happened before?
Good Lord, people. You’ve got “conspiracy fever.” Think, don’t emote.
It seems that finding the FDR (black box), will be imperative for any hope at discovering why the plane went down.
While there are a lot of unexplained answers, one of the simplest scenarios made the most sense to me. More sense than the conspiratists that suggested the plane was hi-jacked, landed in some mid-eastern country, and would be made into a suicide bomb.
Because nobody is "walking down the street" in the remote south Indian Ocean, 1500 miles WSW of Perth, Australia. Satellites had to be re-positioned to focus on the area.
Well, of course they’re saying the Indian Ocean, and I hope this is not another wild goose chase for the families’ sakes!
I guess so...I do want to hear what the General has to say about this (and what he thinks of his sources).
The difference here is that instead of saying it was either this northern route or the southern route - they now gotten further analysis that has gotten it narrowed down to the southern route. “That” is the difference today.
Ooooh — the Malaysian PM so hates that picture.
Correction: You’re right. I missed a ‘1’ tap while typing on my itty bitty phone screen. ($110 million)
For sure ...
You are right.
no proof, it was pulled off with the OBL killing, now again, they can disappear over 200 people with no proof
Yep ...
It’s OK to make speculations like that in private but not on the air where your reputation and credibility is on the line. Maybe the good general wanted out of his FOX gig but now everyone will think he’s a crackpot.
One thing doesn’t make sense to me. Why didn’t they wait for this presser until they had confirmation that actual debris was found that was the wreckage of the plane? Why go out there and make an announcement with no real proof.
There has been talk the last few days that some wanted to end the search for this thing. Is this how they are going to do it?
Why should anyone comment without real evidence? After all, we have already waited for a couple weeks, why not wait a few days more?
Yet no one seems to be able to explain this plane just magically vanished off radar systems travelling to Beijing, transponders seeming turned off and yet was still able to fly for many hours until it crashed in the south indian ocean in the opposite direction without anyone picking it up. Good luck explaining that.
Have not retrieved, but have spotted and marked with a smoke flare.
Since it is now night in the area, they will regroup in the morning.
BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
