It’s OK to make speculations like that in private but not on the air where your reputation and credibility is on the line. Maybe the good general wanted out of his FOX gig but now everyone will think he’s a crackpot.
It was a mind-numbingly stupid thing for him to do in the first place. Very low probability and zero evidence to back it up.
