Dianne Feinstein pushes for semi-automatic rifle import ban based on 45-year-old law

California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein is circulating a letter on Capitol Hill calling once again for a ban on semi-automatic rifles and asking for President Barack Obama to keep his State of the Union promise to make 2014 a “year of action.”

Citing the Gun Control Act of 1968, Feinstein states, “In recent years… importers of firearms have taken advantage of ATF’s interpretation of the ‘sporting purposes’ test to evade the import ban.”

Gaaaaaaa! Now she says the "somebody killed bobby bill"(aka gca68) isn't being used to prevent these WMD's from entering the country. Lucky for us there are hundreds of other laws out there huh? This fine example of proper training and trigger discipline needs to STFU! Isn't there something more important for her to be doing? Maybe calling Vlad up and threatening him since she's got more balls than the lyin' king? (Besides, "sporting purposes" is pretty ambiguous isn't it? Who make the call? A fully outfitted AR is pretty "sporty" in my opinion... whereas Feinstein would wet her pants at the mere sight.

Actually, that's not true and is what makes her blathering that much more infuriating. As far back as the early 80s she was championing gun bans all the while being one of the few in San Francisco with a carry permit.
The stupid cow probably has a closet full of select fire weapons in case us "crazies" attack her.

We returned from a deployment to find that the weapons we had purchased while on leave had to held until clarification could be made about the “importing” section of the “somebody killed bobby bill”. Took me almost 8 months before I could get my hands back on it. Of course all this crap occured while we were deployed and being young and stupid, didn’t realize the future implications at the time. Sadly, we’ve grown, uh, more aware. Maybe not wiser but at least more aware. ;>}
