Sorry Diane, in 1968 I was too busy dodging
cong mortar rounds to pay attention, you say what?
uh kinda late for that isn’t it.
If you want it, come an take it.
The way of the warrior is found in death
and it’s a good day to die.
And just to keep to a higher plane...
“By my troth, I care not.
We are born owing death a life,
and who dies this year is quit for the nest.”
Shakespeare.
Roger that. We returned from a deployment to find that the weapons we had purchased while on leave had to held until clarification could be made about the “importing” section of the “somebody killed bobby bill”. Took me almost 8 months before I could get my hands back on it. Of course all this crap occured while we were deployed and being young and stupid, didn’t realize the future implications at the time. Sadly, we’ve grown, uh, more aware. Maybe not wiser but at least more aware. ;>}
Thanks for your service brother.
Nice post on every level. Thanks.
And thanks for your service in the thick of it, from a Corpsman involved in the tail end of that shit a few years after you. Feinstein never served, never saw action, never put her life on the line. She has no place in such discussions and such decisions, and she has no face to think that she does.
