A 26-year-old man was shot dead with his own gun after he sexually assaulted a woman at school construction site in the Bywater, New Orleans police said Friday. The shooter, a man who was not identified, disarmed the woman's attacker and opened fire around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

Once the boyfriend got the gun the rapist was no longer a deadly threat and should not have been shot. Arrest the boyfriend for murder.

A few facts about this.
The rapist couldn't have had a gun with him because he was a felon. That is illegal. And he was in a school zone where weapons aren't allowed. So how could he have a gun ? (Sarc)
And if the assaulted couple are not a not a minority - then we will hear more about this in the national media. If they are a minority we will never hear of it again.
