Yes, give her a break. She wisely added in the years that the U. S. flag has been flying over Mars (I think that’s what she one time claimed) and, due to her common core curriculum mathematical background, was unable to do the higher math involved in adding those two numbers together in the customary manner. But, she tried hard to do the “reckoning,” so that’s all that matters. Give her a break!
