Frankly, the proper counter to Putin would be to abrogate the above gound testing treaty and fire off a few of our enduring stockpile to test their efficieny, power up Hanaford and begin processing weapons grade materials ASAP, recommission the destroyed silos, restart the Peacekeeper program, build a dozen more Tridents, and dig up both Gens Patton and LeMay.
I’m thinkin’ it’s gonna take a lot longer than a 4 or 8 year term to rip asunder all the damage and rebuild it. Especially with all the clinton sleepers and now “lyin’ king” sleepers in place to carry on the destruction of the country. Sorry dang situation.

My error 2013 = 2012
The rebuilding process is predicated upon replacing Obama with an American and him leaving the White House in 2017, which I will have to see to believe. And furthermore, as evidenced by the elections of 2008 and 2012, unless the morals of the Country and the patriotism of its citizens is raised, again something I don't see happening, the chances of electing a President that has America's welfare first is slim to none.

I know what you mean. Believe me, the DOD can cut waste and we should reign in the "Congressional Industrial Military Complex". However, I do not trust Obama to make the correct calls in defense when his motivation is to make the US equal on an international scale and to use the budget savings to increase the welfare state.
Furthermore, and this is Ryan and Bonner's fault when they cut COLA for military retirees, our side is giving budget concessions and their side is not.
Instead, let's cut the luxury aircraft he and his cronies ride around in - and his vacation budget as well!
