LOL! I swear, Marcella, if I wasn't already married I'd be after a gal like you :-) Your Mister was one lucky fella.

I'll bet you had one helluva daddy. I would have liked to have sat and talked awhile with a man who raised a daughter like you. I'm raising one right now, and could probably learn a thing or two from a guy like that.

We're awful lucky to have a woman like you in the Dawg pack :-)

So, outside of more elections in which we vote conservative when we can, what is to be done?

I ask how to arrive at where we must go?

To start with, those who see the darkness encroaching, can get back to attending their local Tea Party meetings and see what they can do to spur their fellow patriots to engage in public displays of our collective outrage.

I'm talking about things like going to the park on a Sunday and hoisting the Gadsden flag, and engaging all who will listen. Find an overpass and wave some flags and home made signs at those who pass by. Make a noise of some sort to call attention to the fact that we're here, and we're determined to make some changes to the status quo.

What we really need is 10 million patriots to engage in a sustained protest on Capitol Hill until the administration and Congress get the message. That's a biggie, but it may be our last hope before this all goes too far for civil demonstrations.

“I swear, Marcella, if I wasn't already married I'd be after a gal like you :-) Your Mister was one lucky fella.”

My mister said I was his secret weapon. I look like such a nice, well dressed, lady, no one suspects I am a prepper with weapons. There is a fellow on FR who has a tagline I love - “Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet.” Let me find the page and post it and if you go down the page you will come to my picture. I write articles on Survival Podcast as “Victoria”:

You must have misread my post

You misread my reply. I did not accuse you of saying that you would leave the country.

If you go back and look at the posts, only one person suggested it, but he was asked what country would be good.

What I accused you of was making a issue out of a non-issue...

You literally created the issue and then pinged your list for support.

That's what I accused you of doing. A manufactured controversy for your own amusement.

And to do so you employed the use of a Non-sequitor.

"There's over a hundred years of subversion and intentional destruction to turn back and undo, . . ."

That is your money quote. It is what must be done. Everything else is an irrelevancy. So the problem is how to undo what 100 years of elections have done. I doubt future national (not federal) elections can possibly reverse the mess we are in. Elections cannot put the consolidated government of Washington DC back in its box. As you say, there is a fetid crust of court decisions, and executive power grabs that elections cannot counter.

So, outside of more elections in which we vote conservative when we can, what is to be done?

I saw your last response before this one. It's a more complete question that requires a more complete answer.

We're obviously on the same page here about the degraded state of our federal institutions, how they got that way, and what an enormous struggle it will be to turn them back to their former constitutional state of being.

Jackie, I've become convinced that we're out of time to restore the country in the fashion we'd prefer. The methods the Framers laid down are purposely slow and tedious. They were designed to work with a government inhabited by moral and conscientious patriots - not subversive leftists bent upon undermining and overturning everything the Founding stands for.

I believe we've arrived at a point in this country where the citizens are going to have to put on some monumental act of defiance to force the government to heel. As I said in my previous post, it'll take something like a massive and sustained protest in DC by ten million just to get them to hear us.

What we need is a wholesale resignation of the whole government. That includes every elected office holder, every congressional appointee, and every federal bureaucrat down to the entry level. I mean an entire house cleaning sweep. As they say, 'nuke it from orbit - it's the only way to be sure.'

But what would it take to cause the entire federal government to resign? I don't know the exact measure of force required to achieve such a thing, but I do know it would have to be more overwhelming than anything our government's been faced with before.

I think a lot of people would conclude that only a full scale rebellion could bring enough force to bear to accomplish such a thing. They may be right, which would be unfortunate, because it portends an ugly finish to the current internal squabble our country's engaged in.

At the same time, I don't see any other conclusion to the cold war we're in, except for secession by several red states. Eventually, I think most people are going to see that as the only way to peacefully end the growing hostilities between left and right.

The left isn't going to give in, and neither or we, so where will this all end? Given that today's Americans have no stomach to kill millions of their fellows over the concept of union, I think the idea of secession will grow. It will be a divorce due to irreconcilable differences, in my opinion.

One way or another, the thing will come to a head, and I'd rather see a peaceful split than millions of dead Americans on our own soil.

You started out our exchange by accusing me of continuing to misuse the term, ‘bug out’. I never mentioned the term on the thread, and probably haven’t used it in a post for at least a year or two.

I assumed that you must have been admonishing some other person, but went on to let you know what my general thoughts are on the idea of fleeing the country (as one way to ‘bug out’).

That only came about because the poster (whose words I pasted into my initial reply on the thread) was implying such. I merely expanded a bit on what I was saying in the first place. If I was in error anywhere, it was probably in communicating any of that to you.

I’m not interested in having a fire fight with you over your failure to properly track the conversation.

Good night.

"I wonder if the same was written about those pesky religious liberty pilgrams that wanted to leave western Europe."

Apples and oranges. They didn't have, in England and then the Netherlands, a system where they were in charge. They had to live by the dictates of the King. We don't have to, thanks to the great grandchildren of the Pilgrims. Granted, there are those on this very thread who would say we're forced to live by the dictates of the would-be King that's currently polluting and sullying the honor of the White House. Not so. We The People still run this place, contrary to what naysayers, surrender monkeys and GOPe-types would have us believe. This is still our house.

...the Tea Party of 2009 and '10 is a perfect example of what can be accomplished when we stare our enemies down. The problem is, as conservatives always do, we won a victory, then went back to sleep. We never maintain our momentum. What needs to happen right now, is to mobilize the PO'd millions from '09 and '10, get them back out in the streets, picket signs in hand.

I'm of the opinion that the time for peaceful rallies in the park are over. The situation has become much more dire, as regards the building cold war between the patriotic right and the subversive left. We're now at a point where we'd better step it up, or face an eventuality that would horrify us all.

Specifically, I'm talking about putting on large gatherings again, but this time they need to be ten million or more people, and they have to be noisy - as in serious protests. I've even advocated civil disobedience as an integral part of such protests.

We're now at a point where it's going to take protests of monumental proportions to get Washington's attention. Nothing any weaker than that is going to make them take us seriously. The longer we sit on our keyboards bitching about things, yet not doing anything concrete and public to show our defiance and anger, the more the traitors believe we'll never move. They have no reason to believe there will ever be an 'American Spring', so they continue dynamiting the foundations of the republic.

I don't know what it's going to take to motivate the people to converge on DC like that, but I'll tell you this.....we're running out of time for such a protest to make a difference. As the situation degrades, it's going to take stronger and stronger measures on the people's part to stop the advance of tyranny.

Warning about where we are going and where we will end up if certain things are not done - or warning against courses of action that are either ineffective or stupid is not defeatism.

When that's all a poster ever has to offer, it is indeed defeatism.

I never hear you speak of fighting back. I never hear you offer a word of encouragement to our beleaguered and downtrodden troops. No - you pontificate endlessly about the omnipotent and invincible fedzilla and its unconquerable war apparatus, which is poised to exterminate us patriots like a mower over so many blades of grass.

Admit it. You've succumbed to the enemy, and to make yourself right for doing so, you now want others to follow your oh-so inescapable logic to mass surrender.

That's fear mongering, Invar.

I don't make this accusation lightly. I've been noticing the trend of your posts for over a year now, and they always promote the idea that we are weak and fedzilla is strong. You're constantly trying to instill fear in others. I think it's because of your own collapsed fortitude. It's despicable, and you ought to put it in check. If you can't find your own spine, keep it to yourself. Quit infecting others around you with your illness of spirit.

Perhaps (as you so nastily put it) I have a reading comprehension problem, and have completely misread your posts over the last year, but I don't think so.

If you want to be helpful, tell others what they can do to resist. Stop telling them what they can't do. And yeah, I'm going to copy the Dawg Pound to every instance of defeatist drivel I run across.

Good discussion, even though we're not completely eye to eye on some key things. I'll have to keep this short, as I don't have all the time in the world tonight.

"Most of which has to do with the fact that most Conservatives are Producers and they have a living and/or businesses that take priority in their estimations."

Yep, I agree with you. But we're going to have to start moonlighting as Americans doing our civic duty, otherwise we're going to produce our way into slavery. We can either put in long hours now, to save our Republic for the next generation, or we can put in long hours as slaves in FEMA camps.

"We do not have the millions of dollars in war chest money that the Ruling Class Establishment has to run propaganda and smear campaigns against anyone who threatens them."

Sure we do...only we're investing those millions and billions in Apple, Microsoft, the Brazilian oil industry, the Chicom power grid, or any number of ways we think we can improve our portfolio by the end of this quarter. How 'bout we spend a few years investing our money in saving our Republic?

"It is more than self-evident to me that the Ruling Class in power holds those this people in utter contempt."

Okay, so letters, phone calls and town hall meetings aren't enough. Let's picket outside their local offices and get on the local evening news. Let's do it every freakin' day until "they" are forced to face us and answer to us. If not, we raise awareness, we raise funds, and we raise hell, and get them thrown out of office. They may have millions coming in from lobbyists and other crony capitalists, but that doesn't pull levers or cast ballots. It still begins and ends with us.

"We melted phone lines and got answering machines or no ability to reach our Reps at all. In a few minor cases they backed off what appeared to be a total cave - only to do it in piecemeal behind our backs a bit later."

Again, lace up the Reeboks, grab the signs, and picket their local offices. That puts the ball in a completely different court. Passersby see you, TV and radio news types, salivating over a juicy breaking news story, rush out to see what all the commotion is about, and next thing you know, Ma and Pa Kettle are coming out to join you on Day 2. If one thing doesn't work, try something else. But don't give up trying.

"They expect pushback from us against what they intend to do. That is why they have stockpiled BILLIONS of rounds of ammo and have militarized fed agencies and police with tanks, APS and other military hardware. The math of what is coming is not hard, and it has been intended to occur, because it's all part of the plan."

They may have billions of rounds of ammo, and MRAPs, drones, and so on, but they only have so many people to use that ammo and equipment. We surround them, and as history shows again and again, technology doesn't defeat numbers and a highly motivated enemy. The Brits, Soviets and us in Afghanistan. Germany in WW2. Us in Vietnam. In all those cases, armies with advanced gee-whiz weapons were defeated by motivated, numerically superior enemies, and so shall it be again...if that nightmare scenario comes to pass. I'd rather we pull out all the stops to see that it isn't necessary to jump straight to it.

"That is so 1990."

No, actually it's so 1787. But nothing's changed...We The People are still sovereign over ourselves, our families, our property, and our resources. The only reason any of that has changed is because we got lazy, then got scared, then got quiet.

"If they do not respect the rule of law or the Constitution now - what makes us think they are going to respect any further effort made to stop their encroachments on our rights?"

If they're removed from power, they can't encroach anymore, right? Contrary to what the defeatists would have us believe, we can still defeat the tyrants at the ballot box. But it's not going to be easy...we have to motivate and educate millions upon millions of would-be patriotic Americans who have lost faith in America. We have to show them that there are still leaders out here (not in Congress, but here in flyover country) they can trust and believe in.

Yeah, the lobbyists have money out the wazoo, and our so-called "leaders" love to wallow in it. But it's "their" money versus "our" feet, and donations don't pull levers.

Good discussion.

I second your idea Marcella, we most definately have to have our own bathroom! Yes I would bunk with you, I’d be most honored.

I never broke a record in the 50 yard dash, though I did ruin a good pair of socks racing a punk in 8th grade...I chose to do it without shoes.

I might be able to hold my own in ping pong, it’s been years but it’s like riding a bike, right?! I can shoot a good game of pool though.

Marcella, you can teach me how to take care of the wounded, beyond what I’ve learned as a Mother.

Other than that, I have only my mind, my heart and soul to offer and I am quite certain that is good enough.

I never hear you speak of fighting back.

You aren't paying attention and either you have a reading comprehension problem or this bug up your rear-end about me will not permit you to see beyond this stupid vendetta of yours.

No - you pontificate endlessly about the omnipotent and invincible fedzilla and its unconquerable war apparatus, which is poised to exterminate us patriots like a mower over so many blades of grass.

We've already had this argument. I see no reason to discount the enemy's ability and intent while taking notice of the apathy of this people in it's face. All your rah-rah cheerleading does not negate reality.

Admit it. You've succumbed to the enemy

If I had, I would not be wasting my time here or writing essays that will put me on the top of every list the Beast is making.

you now want others to follow your oh-so inescapable logic to mass surrender.

I want no one to follow me. I want people to follow Christ, to repent and to THINK beyond empty false bravado and patriotic rhetoric - as if that alone or going to the voting booth is going to stop where we are going.

That's fear mongering, Invar.

Call it whatever you want. I call it looking at the reality of the ground we are standing on, not underestimating the enemy, nor overestimating ourselves.

If you want to be helpful, tell others what they can do to resist. Stop telling them what they can't do.

This is beyond getting ridiculous with you. You TOTALLY ignore every single faith-based suggestion I have ever made and focus on whatever political efforts you think are going to save us.

The ROOT CAUSE of our entire situation IS SPIRITUAL. As a nation, we stand apart from God - we as a church are complicit in the loss of our culture which has led us directly to the political and cultural tyranny we now suffer.

I have said repeatedly that we follow the model the Founders left us - defiance, refusal and non-compliance with tyranny. As with all tyrants in history, such defiance will be met with attempts to force compliance. When they make that last mistake - you will know what time it is.

Sadly, we continue to see individuals get picked off one at a time, and we're growing increasingly desensitized and indifferent to greater and greater examples of not only lawlessness by the Regime, but brutal oppression by agents of the state.

And still this people sleep. They do not believe what is coming is possible to happen here.

So I'm spelling it out, and that is what you do not want to hear or read. You just want to see and hear patriotic cheerleading.

Interesting note to consider - Jeremiah tried to save his people by warning them what horrors were coming, and they refused to listen. They ended up killing him because they did not want to hear his warnings anymore.

Nothing new under the sun. And no, I'm not saying I'm any kind of prophet. I'm pointing out a fact that God's own people did not want to hear the cold, hard facts they were faced with when it came time for judgment.

I don't see us as being any different.

Amen, I hear you and you are absolutely correct about working now to avoid what is being prepared for us. I think we might simply differ on what that entails.

Contrary to what the defeatists would have us believe, we can still defeat the tyrants at the ballot box.

This is where you and I are going to differ in belief and understanding at the moment.

I fully believe we saw our last 'honest' national election back in 2008. From here on out it's a neo-Soviet style propaganda show where the Ruling Class plays this charade and creates an illusion of choice for we little people in electing persons who will steer the government.

I would love to be wrong, but the damning aspect is that if I'm right - the time it took for folks like you to catch up to where I believe we have arrived- will have given the enemy further time to entrench themselves on the heights, dig in and reinforce their position.

Removing them will cost us beyond what we can now imagine we can bear, and most would rather deceive themselves into thinking that the next election will fix it.

There is not a single Marxist regime come into power that has ever left it's power willingly.
