Stopped buying KRAFT cheese a few years ago when the company suddenly began adding Natamycin to all its “natural” cheeses as a preservative. So they would have a shelf life of four thousand years. Turns out Natamycin is an antibiotic used to treat fungal eye infections. Ecccch. I used to love their large bars of Cracker Barrel cheese. Now I buy Cabot brand made in Vermont. No Natamycin. KRAFT is a mess. Strange products. Stranger ingredients.

"Its not. It a cheese product or cheese food, whatever those are." Very true. You have to get the "American or Deli" type for 'real' Cheese....Which costs nearly twice as much. It IS alot better though.

Basically they take vegetable oil and whip it, add some artificial colors, and artificial flavors.

"Its not. It a cheese product or cheese food, whatever those are." Agreed, if they need to tell you it's "food", don't eat it.

After they banned DDT American vegetables and many dairy products lost much of their real flavor. It's no wonder our foods are so bland today.

" Agreed, if they need to tell you it's "food", don't eat it." Another corporate buzzword I watch out for is "product". ....If you can stand it, call Pizza Hut and order a Pizza with Hamburger for one of the toppings. They will read it back to you as "beef", and you can't get them to say Hamburger. Always made me wonder what their idea of "beef" actually is.
