Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul asked for some advice from Texas GOP rising star George P. Bush on how to reach out to Hispanic voters and got a simple recommendation: Show up, Politico reported.
Really I wanted to get advice from him, as much as anything, about how the party grows in Texas and states with large Hispanic populations, Paul, who's considered a possible GOP candidate for president in 2016, said after stumping for a state senate candidate in Dallas.
Bush, whose mother is from Mexico, has pushed for expanding the GOP reach to Hispanics.
Paul said Bush recommended showing up in Hispanic communities, Paul told Politico.
Hes very personable and I love to see the young faces, the new faces, maybe in the party, Paul said of Bush. I also think he brings a lot to the party as far as being a fluent Spanish speaker.
Later Saturday, Paul warned a gathering of GOP conservatives that Texas could go "blue" and become a Democratic stronghold in less than a decade if Republicans don't react.
What I do believe is Texas is going to be a Democrat state within 10 years if we dont change, said Paul at a dinner held by the Harris County GOP.

The only way to grow in the ‘hispanic’ community is to stop treating it like a separate community. Promote conservative values so you give voters a choice come election day, rather than liberal and liberal lite.
This is easy. When you “reach out”, make sure you have a treat in your hand.
Another Republican official who uses the media's terminology. Yeah, that will help our side control the narrative :: sigh::
And why the heck is he asking some other politician's NEPHEW how to win voters? Has George P. Bush ever won an election on his own?
Well said.
The problem you have running against socialists is their voter appeal is: "Vote for me and I will get you someone else's money. -Tom

If these over lords continue to disrespect those who gave life to defend this country, its values, and ideas then once again it is time to rise up and remove the government by any means possible.
This is true for all minorities. It's the ultimate in stupidity for Republicans to do a mea culpa on race, when it is unequivocally the left who have hurt minorities, and use them. The proper response to all leftist comments about Republicans being racist is very high volume response, outrage, threats of lawsuits when appropriate and possible, and incessantly pointing out reality.
When Colin Powell makes his inane self-serving incredibly irresponsible comments about the GOP having racists, he needs to be shouted down and it needs to be pointed out that 1) It was two Republican administrations that promoted and embraced Powell, 2) W. Bush did a better job appointing minorities - including Powell, than essentially any democrat administration, including Obama, 3) That Powell had his biggest problems in the administration of Bush not with some ‘white guy’, but with a black woman - Rice. Does this mean that Powell is a sexist, or harbors his own kind of racism?, 4) If one is going to make blanket comments, then one must back them up with verifiable examples. Where are they Colin?
This is just one example. The absolute WRONG response is to make b.s. comments like Paul did recently, saying the the Republican party needed to start looking like ‘America’. It does look like America. What doesn't look like America is the near communist / definitively socialist anti-personal responsibility, ‘I never saw I vote I wouldn't be willing to buy with taxpayer dollars’ democrat party.
Attack, or die. That's the most important message Republicans can and should consider.
Bush:
“Wall, you do just like my brother Jorge did, let ‘em invade the borders and kiss the butt of the Mexican Presidente! It really paid off in 2008 and 2012, RIGHT??”
Senator Paul, you reach out to Hispanics the same way you would to me, a WASP. Otherwise, you move from being a principled statesman to a weasel politician, which you apparently are, if you had to ask that question.
What makes George Pee a rising star? Having the last name of Bush?
Yup, it’s his turn after jebba the bush.

I’ve said it over and over and over and over...
You approach all groups with the same values set.
1. We support law and order. You deserve to live in a safe community, and we’re going to do our best to make sure you do.
2. Your kids deserve decent education. We will do our best to make sure they get it. We will partner with you, so that the values you teach them at home will be the values we seek to instill in them at school. Honesty, hard work, firm goals, and the tools to make sure they can attain them, will be our shared goal.
3. You and your spouse work hard to support your family. We will always do our best to make sure you get to keep MORE of what you earn, free from the tyranny of governments.
4. This nation was formed on bedrock moral standards, and we will do our best to give churches and their members the respect they deserve.
5. We will support you defending your family in your home.
6. We respect every citizen the same. It doesn’t matter where you came from. It doesn’t matter your social status. We want you to be able to change your social/financial status, so we will continue to support policies that help you do so. We are one people, despite our differences. I see you as having the same concerns as any of our other citizens. You wish to support your family as best you can. You want a bright future for your children. You want to live a good life. We are one people. We are fellow citizens, brothers and sisters with a rich diversity, but a unique connection to each other that makes us fellow citizens, and ultimately working for the betterment of our homes, communities, states, and nation.
7. Some people will come here and promise you what they will give you. I come here to promise you that the policies I support will make it the easiest it can be for you to succeed and achieve what you want in our nation. We want nothing more than for you to succeed.
8. You are important to the future of our nation. For our nation to be strong, you have to be strong.
9. We must stop the politics of separation, and remind ourselves that the politics of inclusion were the policies in place at our founding. The colonies had differences. The United States was developed to incorporate those difference.
10. No nation on earth is perfect. Ours isn’t either. Our goal will be to place citizens first, and government in subservience to them. That was the goal from the beginning, and we have pulled back from that. In my administration that will end.
11. The problems in your community, are my problems. The problems in other communities are my problems. If there is any way I can help alleviate problems, I will do so. All this being said, you are the controllers of your community. Get involved. Make this a place you are proud to live in. I would only ask, that as you go about this, please make it a place any U. S. Citizen would be proud to live in, no matter their race or religion.
12. As you dedicate yourself to this, keep in mind I will be dedicating myself to the same goal for our nation.
13. I hope that as this campaign goes forward, you will see that I am an honest person, that I do care about you, and that I am deserving of your support to lead as our nation moves forward.
14. Thank you for coming out to see me today. I wish you the best as you return to your home.
15. Some recent administrations and politicians have talked down this nation. Schools have even been eliminating the teaching of respect for it. Folks, if you leave here knowing nothing else about me, I want you to know that I love this nation. I love it’s people. It will be my goal from day one, to do things that make it stronger, it’s citizens more proud to live here, and more people around the world respecting it.
