Mary Matalin: Hillary Won't Even Run
NewsMax ^ | February 8, 2014 | Sandy Fitzgerald

The wide variety of potential candidates for the Republican presidential nomination boils down to one question in many quarters — which one can beat Hillary Clinton?

But to at least one powerful Republican consultant, Mary Matalin, the "Hillary" question is pointless.

"Hillary Clinton’s lead is ephemeral," Matalin told Politico Magazine. "As soon as she gets in, if she gets in, she will be challenged and it will evaporate. Just the nature of the beast. I predict she doesn’t run."

---snip---

Political consultant and media strategist Mark McKinnon predicts a "Clash of the Titans" battle between Clinton and Bush for the White House in 2016.

"Jeb Bush is the sort of pragmatic, common-sense and compassionate conservative Republicans need to win back the White House," said McKinnon. "He’d attract Hispanics and likely win the key electoral prize of his home state, Florida. And he has a great record to run on, including some innovative, forward-thinking strategies like early childhood investment. Florida leads the country in the number of four-year olds in literacy programs—over 70 percent, and Jeb did it without increasing taxes."

McKinnon said he is not worried about either Bush or Clinton being too familiar for voters to choose....

She will run whatever her health situation is. Why? She is addicted to power. And there are drugs that can keep her looking energetic and alert. Even in the early 60s, JFK was a mess physically, but drugs kept him going—the Public never suspected a thing.

But I agree with Matalin—she will be challenged and her nomination is not assured. Hillary is a flawed candidate at best. I am still amazed that Obama managed to beat her in 2008. This is her last shot and she will fight for it with all her might. She needs to prove to herself that she can do what Bill did.

The best instance for Palin is a Hillary run.

I’ve already said Hillary has no intention of running as a dem.

I’ve predicted Hillary will be running 3rd party, running against both Obama/dem failures and republican TEA Party “extremist”, “The Third Way”.

"Jeb Bush Scott Walker is the sort of pragmatic, common-sense compassionate constitutional conservative Republicans need to win back the White House,"

Fixed it...

If she does run, the first thing to see is her medical records, all of them.

Damn near fall off my chair laughing...not at you, but the thought...

Like that will happen...!!!

If we do see her medical records, not sure what person records they will be, but they won't be hers...

From Robert Dallek:
“Kennedy was taking an extraordinary variety of medications: steroids for his Addison’s disease; painkillers for his back; anti-spasmodics for his colitis; antibiotics for urinary-tract infections; antihistamines for allergies; and, on at least one occasion, an anti-psychotic (though only for two days) for a severe mood change that Jackie Kennedy believed had been brought on by the antihistamines.”

Hillary’s medical records will be sealed tighter than The One’s academic records, and the stasi press will drag her carcass across the finish line.

Watch for who Hillary takes as her VP!

“My dream is that they beat each other up so bad that a conservative like Ted Cruz cruises to the nomination.”

But it’s always the reverse. The rinos decide on their central character and just wait for the conservatives to knock each other out. How else could McCain or Romney have been the nominees?

Jeb Bush: "He’d attract Hispanics and likely win the key electoral prize of his home state, Florida ..."

But he will lose the conservatives and many other states. The Bush name is still toxic.

A poll just this week shows that 44% still blame the last Bush for the current economic problems, while only 33% blame Obama.

==

They see Jeb for 2016 and George P. for 2024.

We had more than enough Bush family members in the White House as of 2007. No more!

Even in the early 60s, JFK was a mess physically, but drugs kept him going—the Public never suspected a thing.

But JFK was only in his 40's, Hillary will be 69 years old in 2016, considerably older.

I don't think she has the physical stamina to maintain a Presidential campaign.

As an aside, I saw Mary Matalin on TV the other night. She’s had her face professionally mangled by a plastic surgeon, and she has those puffy fish lips. She’s unrecognizable....looks like Joan Rivers.

Which ever Dem gets the nomination will win. Thanks to electronic voting. It won it for Obama and it will win it for the next Dem. And the dumb@$$ Republicans will be left scratching their heads again.

So frustrating. It’s like I’m 10 years old and watching professional wrestling all over again...

I don’t understand the thought process behind this kind of thing. These women think, “I’m aging, I don’t look good, I need to improve things”.......so they go out and have someone turn them into a space alien.

Amen sister.
In my view most “reprocessed” chicks come out looking WORSE.
But it does make a lot of Porsche and mansion payments for the docs.

I agree Catherine, I am an older woman and I do not understand. I see women all the time who have had major work done and it is so obvious. They don't look younger or better, they just look creepy.

Then you see the ones that weren't satisfied with their 1st surgery so they went back again and again. Getting worse each time.
