The wide variety of potential candidates for the Republican presidential nomination boils down to one question in many quarters which one can beat Hillary Clinton?
But to at least one powerful Republican consultant, Mary Matalin, the "Hillary" question is pointless.
"Hillary Clintons lead is ephemeral," Matalin told Politico Magazine. "As soon as she gets in, if she gets in, she will be challenged and it will evaporate. Just the nature of the beast. I predict she doesnt run."

Political consultant and media strategist Mark McKinnon predicts a "Clash of the Titans" battle between Clinton and Bush for the White House in 2016.
"Jeb Bush is the sort of pragmatic, common-sense and compassionate conservative Republicans need to win back the White House," said McKinnon. "Hed attract Hispanics and likely win the key electoral prize of his home state, Florida. And he has a great record to run on, including some innovative, forward-thinking strategies like early childhood investment. Florida leads the country in the number of four-year olds in literacy programsover 70 percent, and Jeb did it without increasing taxes."
McKinnon said he is not worried about either Bush or Clinton being too familiar for voters to choose....

“If you are correct, it will be the third time in a row I vote repub, holding my nose.”
That’s precisely why we get such crappy candidates. The gop wing of the uniparty believes conservatives will vote for any closet liberal so long as it has an “R” after it.
rk glasses sitting next to Slick Willy.
Well said.
Hillary is a dream candidate for liberals. "The first woman candidate." "The smartest woman in the world." "The logical candidate to carry on the work of Obama." "She has a world of experience."
The mainstream media will do a "Chris Christie bridgegate" on whoever the Republicans offer up while explaining why Hillary walks on water.
It’s been done before, for example in 1864.
No accomplishments as SOS? Try none since being thrown off the Watergate Committee for being an unethical liar.
Having problems with posting comments on FR this AM.
What I tried to post was that Hillary looked like an old Cabbage Patch doll with dark glasses in the pic in #30.
She has no accomplishments in all of her political endeavors. Did she write any bills as a phony Senator that were passed? Did she do anything as SOS that was meaningful, other than flying over a million miles and dining/drinking on taxpayers’ dollars?
I think she’ll be incapacitated or dead by then.
Yup.
Chelsea must know something----she said recently that her mother needs to rest, not run.
In a recent news clip---it appeared Billy was supporting a weak Hillary---helping her walk and sit.
Hear hear. Well over half of the people who have voted in a Presidential election have only seen one (2012) that wasn’t soaked with speculation of whether a Bush or a Clinton would be the next President.
I agree. I get exhausted just looking at her. She looks like hell. It is not just age either. It is a “I am tired of life” look.
May I invite you to my nightmares -- the age to be President is 35; guess who turns 35 in 2015.
Now, more than ever, the electorate is focused on the blunders of Obamacare........ which preceded Hillarycare. In fact, it was Hillary Clinton who originally used the wonderfully reassuring if you like your plan, you can keep your plan.
NOTE Hillary's 2007 campaign website was unearthed by America Rising. America's Rising found written on the website under "HILLARYCARE"---AKA Hillarys American Health Choices Plan---the phrase: if you have a plan you like, you keep it.
VIDEO of Hillary saying, "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan." Nice entertainment for union meetings.

See a smiling Hillary (above) in 2007, saying: You can keep the doctors you know and trust. You keep the insurance you have. If you have private insurance you like, nothing changes, you can keep that insurance.

A BUMPY ROAD AHEAD The 2016 Clinton camp has been distancing itself from Obamacare as the problems associated with the botched govt healthcare plan hits home to a not-amused American electorate.
With 2016 in mind, Bill Clinton called on Obama to "honor the commitment he made" that people should be able to keep their health care plans.
A top Clinton aide, John Podesta, then took to twitter suggesting a single-payer health care system as an alternative to Obamacare....just a coincidence that Podesta has just been hired by Obama.

Tevi Troy, Hudson Institute resident scholar's remarkable prophecy a year and a half before the USSC's decision, after Nov 2010 midterms, in which Democrats in Congress and in state legislatures suffered huge losses.....due to O/Care. In Commentary magazine, Troy wrote: "The Pyrrhic victory Democrats secured for themselves [when Obama signed ACA into law] may prove not to have been a victory at all but rather an ever-roiling, ongoing, and recurring act of political and ideological self-destruction."
Amen.
My theory was that Romney was nothing more than a placeholder for the next one in line for the Bush dynasty.
My dream is that they beat each other up so bad that a conservative like Ted Cruz cruises to the nomination. We shall see.
Truth repudiated by the American people who see only good in her!
No matter how much truth is exposed, the American people are clueless.
Thanks. I just threw up in my mouth a little.
A Dem Presidential candidate faces the likelihood of two to four years of a House and maybe Senate in opposition hands. Getting anything major passed akin to O Care would be nearly impossible, and it is likely there will be great pressure from the opposition to scale back or kill O Care. Would Miss Hillary! want to sit in the White House and wage those battles at the age most ladies are buying pudding pops for their grandchildren?
LOL - More like 'Clash of Losers who Ride Coat Tails of Relatives'...
Well alrighty then. Memo to Ted Cruz and Rand Paul: Just forget it boys Jeb’s the next President.
“She was an awful Secretary of State, She just flew around glad handing world leaders, dictators and strong men.”
It doesnt matter what she did as SOS, the media mantra was and will continue to be that she was a GREAT SOS. Reality is what the media says it is because 90% of the people will believe them. As far as Matlin’s prediction that Hellary wont run, it isn’t worth 2 cents. Just like Rush’s prediction that she would drop out of the NY Senate race.
