Land commissioner candidate George P. Bush has some pointed words for fellow Republicans who denigrate Hispanics.
If we're going to be successful and be considered credible in the Hispanic community, weve got to denounce some of the ignorant statements that are made about Hispanics and the contributions we make," he told the Tribune's Alexa Ura. His comments come on the heels of a controversial statement on the Denton County Republican Party's website that referred to the expected Democratic top of the ticket as Abortion Barbie with Hispanic Sen. Leticia Van de Putte as her running mate.

Mexico.
A place where they find bags of human heads on the street.
Which he will -- IF he respects the views of LEGAL Hispanics. I've seen two polls of legal Hispanics that show them disposed against amnesty by a 2-to-1 margin (roughly 60-32).
And why not? They are American citizens first -- by virtue of being American for generations or investing the effort and expense of jumping thru all the legal immigration hoops. They don't want their citizenship cheapened any more than we Anglos do.
I do agree we need to watch the level of discourse.
However, what is ethnically objectionable about Abortion Barbie with Hispanic Sen. Leticia Van de Putte as her running mate"?
I fail to understand the problem with this posting.
Leticia Van de Putte is Hispanic, is she not?
Indeed
But its not odd
Its human nature
Take the candy over the castor oil*
Being non white down wid da peeps while still having what we used to call WASP privilege is best of both worlds
Did he marry a cracker girl or Hispanic?
I should have instructed my half Brasilian daughters to play this card better...
Does anyone remember castor oil**
Opposing the legalization of illegal immigrants is not "denigrating Hispanics."
Of course, New World Order types like the Bushes don't care about any of it. Anything NWO types do is only about lining their pockets.
Exactly.
Which is why mischaracterizations of the motives of people who oppose illegal immigration as anti-hispanic bigots such as the Bush family is constantly spouting is so utterly loathsome. It drives otherwise friendly hispanic allies into the opposition's arms.
BTW good grief what tiny hands George has.
Geez. All you fabulous special people taking time our from your busy special lives to lecture us ordinary folks on how to act and think. Gosh thanks.
Lol
Poor gal
Slapping myself
“I’m growing to despise the Bush family.”
You aren’t alone!
Anything insulting/degrading to persons of Hispanic ancestry does deserve to be called out.
This is all about the law. If somebody is breaking it, I really don’t care what their ethnic background is.
Unless there is more to the “Abortion Barbie” statement — no, I did not go to the link — P is just running his mouth, firing for effect.
I’m growing to despise the Bush family.

Ditto!
Amnesty will effectively merge the U.S. with Mexico.

All part of the master plan of destroying US sovereignty.
Gee, no answers to your questions.... I wonder why....
Uh, Sotomayor.
The oppositions is to the invasion of the US. The calls are for invaders to go home and stay there unless they go through the processes in place. They're the same calls we have for invaders from other countries. The only reasons the calls to end the invasion of the US seem to be directed mostly to hispanics is (1) there are more of them and (2) they make demands that we change our laws to accomodate them.
Why not? Is she, or is she not running on her hispanic "credentials"? I honestly do not know, but from past experience, I'd be willing to put major cash on a bet that she is.
Interesting that he has chosen to be a member of an oppressed semi-race rather than soaking up his white privilege.
Look at how far it got the incompetent Obama.
