arguing that "secular" businesses should not be exempt from the mandate.
The 19 senators planned to file a brief before the court, which is still weeks away from considering the closely watched case. Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., who planned to make her case on the Senate floor, adamantly defended the Obama administration's side.
"What's at stake in this case before the Supreme Court is whether a CEO's personal beliefs can trump a woman's right to access free or low-cost contraception under the Affordable Care Act," she said in prepared remarks.

Exactly, no one is saying they can’t have contraception. It is just that he is not willing to pay for it due to his religous beliefs. Is there any class action suit by Hobby Lobby associates against him for his refusal to pay for it? I have heard nothing if there is. It is just the government overreaching again.
There is no such thing as a “right” that must be provided by the labor of others.
Seriously, what’s the loss if this one small religious organization gets to exercise religious freedom while the case is being heard? I cannot understand why the Leftists cannot stand to have freedom exist for even one second.
I greee .. it needs repeating too !
" Is there a list of the Dem. senators who signed that brief ? "
Just read where the Greens are ready to close all 500+ stores should the decision go against them. Sad, but way to go guys. So proud of these real Americans with real American values. We are running out of time
Article V.
Aren’t US Senators exempt from suffering under Obamacare?
The other senators who signed the brief are: Max Baucus (D-Mont.), Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.), Benjamin Cardin (D-Md.), Richard Durbin (D-Ill.), Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), Tim Johnson (D-SD), Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), Carl Levin (D-Mich.), Ed Markey (D-Mass.), Robert Menendez (D-NJ), Barbara Mikulsi (D-Md.), Harry Reid (D-Nev.), Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.), Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Ron Wyden (D-Ore.).
And back-door amnesty.
If a lawless government can squash religious freedom like this, there is nothing they can't do.
See #28 for list
You’re right.
If we had any balls we would not continue electing and re-electing eunuchs.
> But, its OK to grant total exemptions to the SEIU and
> other commie unions?
The Muzlims get an exemption, too.
Boxer, Pelosi, Feinstein, can someone take this yoke from Cal’s neck?
I have never heard of such a thing. Has anyone else? This is obvious interference and pressure from the socialist Democrats
Press freedom (under major attack) was unencumbered not because of the 1A, but because the press could make life miserable for pols who came down on the press. Now, that is changing as the media increasingly view their wealth as associated with the rat party.
Our God given right to self defense is alive not because of the 2A, but because of gun rights groups who readily stomp on pols who think otherwise.
The 10A is dead because the states kicked themselves out of the senate.
Unless backed up with structure and institutions, paper barriers are, for practical purposes, useless.

The logic is stunning, isn’t it?
If the Democrats get their way, Grandmothers will be few and far between, My FRiend. In other words, most will be killed before they can become Grandmothers. The only thing dearer to a Democrat’s heart than power is getting to murder someone, preferable an unborn or partially born infant.
“...can trump a woman’s right to access free or low-cost contraception under the Affordable Care Act...”
It’s not a right if it demands others do more than not get in the way.
Any right she has would be to purchase what is available, at most. It does not require another to purchase it for her...that is simply theft/enslavement, perhaps with pretty drapes.
