WASHINGTON, DC Today, First Lady Michelle Obama joined the Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) and SUBWAY® along with SUBWAY® Famous Fans Michael Phelps, Nastia Liukin, and Justin Tuck at a local Washington, DC, SUBWAY® Restaurant, to announce a three-year commitment by the chain in support of her Lets Move! initiative to promote healthier choices to kids, including launching its largest targeted marketing effort to date. In addition to strengthening its already nutritious menu offerings to kids, SUBWAY® will launch a new series of campaigns for kids aimed at increasing fruit and vegetable consumption and will set new standards for marketing products to families.
Im excited about these initiatives not just as a First Lady, but also as a mom, said First Lady Michelle Obama. Subway's kids' menu makes life easier for parents, because they know that no matter what their kids order, its going to be a healthy choice.

Well, I’m not going to lie, I had to look it up, LOL.
I wonder what else she’s going to stick her beastsnout into and ruin for the rest of us.
Saddest comment on the Facebook page. I feel sorry for the franchisees:
Jessica Rowel
My family owns 6 Subway franchise restaurants in Florida and they will NOT be participating in this. Franchise owners are absolutely irate about this being forced on them. Most franchise owners are smart business people they can see the harm this will cause their business, many are scared, my family memebers that own the stores are scared.

That explains everything...
Who elected this pugnacious, arrogant Amazon anyway?
Go to Chick-Fila instead.
Subway will have to give up bread.
If she does for Subway what she did for public school lunches, Subway will be in bankruptcy in a short while.
"She says What!"
If they do not participate they ought to advertise that fact. It may save their business.
Wow! You weren’t kidding. I just went over there and poked around through the comments — I won’t give the page a “like”, though, because of this so-called association. And for whatever it’s worth, I would have guessed that this “association” would have taken place some time ago because they’ve really cut back the amount of meat in their sandwiches and most, if not all of the cold cuts, are turkey instead of pork. Seems that Subway is more into vegetable sandwiches now instead of meat.
Now wait a minute. How long has the possum been dead?
This may be of interest. When my parents divorced I went to live with my grandparents. My grandfather liked to go hunting for possums; I accompanied him and the hounds on these hunts. Hey, it was our recreation.
One day my grandfather decided that he wanted my grandmother to cook one of the critters. She did. It looked like a giant rat on a platter and tasted unbelievably bad. He never asked again.
Say what you will but that just looks like a family enjoying each other.
Subway has been my lunch of choice for a number of years. The first time I see Mrs. Obama’s picture in their restaurant, that romance comes to an end.

The sad thing is we will probably never find out if Subway consciously did this or was pressured into it by the dims.....
[ I see on the Facebook page someone hinting that Subway is paying Michele $41 million to do this spot.
Any way to find out if that is true? ]
Well that reeks of: (help us launder money throught he DIM machine or else we will open up the tax records of SubWay Inc. and find something to nail you on....)
[ Gift cards are already money in Subways leger...
Might as well balance it out by actually getting product for the money already spent. ]
figure out what item is a loss leader and buy all of it....
[ Make sure to tell the corporate office why you are boycotting them.
Corporations should really stay out of politics. ]
Big Government/Business do not mix at all!!!
