In New York, a bill has been proposed by Democrat Assemblywoman Margaret Markey that would require all public school students to undergo mental health exams, more than once, in order to attend.
Loesch points out how this fits into a larger picture that is forming with Common Core requirements and various state legislatures across the country. Schools are collecting information such as parental political affiliations, firearm ownership, religious affiliations, and other forms of data mining. She also poses the important question of who would pay for this. Is it going to be yet another financial burden for low and middle income families imposed by the busybody state?
Interference in the family unit and absolute disregard for privacy are becoming de rigeur in America on two fronts. We have the safety and security minded, hoping to prevent tragedy though screening, and we have the we know whats best crowd, creating a better tomorrow by shrinking soda sizes, seizing sodium, and generally aiming to clothe Americans in the bubble wrap of a federal government thats just looking out for their best interests.

How about for the teachers?
Mental exams for Democracks would be a good idea.
Loesch points out how this fits into a larger picture that is forming with Common Core. Parents wake up NAZI common core is the ability to recruit your children to spy on you and your personel business
The shrink lobby is behind this.
I dunknow, it seems you would have to be insane to willingly go to a NY public skewl.
The Marxists in the Gov-Education complex are slowly taking away our rights and freedoms. WAKE up America.
Most states require a written approval by the parents to do this.
Insanity is an absolute prerequisite to live in New York!
It seems the only group allowed to be “profiled” will be young students? In truth, profiling could be a good thing, what if someone, (other than his clueless/pathologically permissive mom) had “profiled” Adam Lanza? It’s a can of worms, however, because many kids are screwballs when teens, but perhaps the really gonzo ones like Lanza could at least be found? But then the absurdity of the “no profiling” crap w/regards to terrorists juxtaposed to this is glaring.
Yeah! You will have to prove you are crazy in order to attend the school....
Heh heh heh heh heh
What a crazy concept. This ought to be just laughed away to shame, IMHO. Getting in high dudgeon gives it more seriousness than it deserves. GENERALLY it works better to see if someone actually ACTS crazy before being concerned whether the person IS crazy. This would be a jackpot for the screening people. Big makework project. Aside from the ethical issues.
Well, that's encouraging. In the mean time it's like playing that street game, three shells and a pea, in trying to find the winning school/state that doesn't violate the rights of the parent.
Great link, Slings and Arrows.
Orang County, CA has had mental Heath exams and treatment for Special Ed students for at least 25 years. Some students actually are actually observed at school on a monthly basis by social workers and county mental health workers. They also offer counseling to parents and family members to help in coping with difficult students. It’s a good program, but it should be extended to include all students.
No it's not.
They'll train...
Another reason for the separation of School and State.
Just wait for “sluggish schizophrenia” diagnoses to appear. The carard was created by the Soviet Union, and at the time no one outside of the Soviet Bloc recognized it.
"By psychopolitics our chief goals are effectively carried forward. To produce a maximum of chaos in the culture of the enemy is our first most important step. Our fruits are grown in chaos, distrust, economic depression and scientific turmoil.... With it you can erase our enemies as insects... Use the courts, use the judges, use the Constitution of the country, use its medical societies and its laws to further our ends.... create chaos. Leave a nation leaderless. Kill our enemies. And bring to Earth, through Communism, the greatest peace Man has ever known...." -- Lavrentii Beria, Lenin University, in a 1933 address to a group of American/Marxist Psychology Students.
