Why are they doing that, what was the intent behind this.

So seasonal displays would be what?
Extra logs for a fireplace would be what?
It makes no sense.

Uh, so you can't "store" some of your extended family in there?

Someone must own a lot of those self-storage places, and have friends on the City Council.

Some sort of deal with storage unit companies which would generate tax revenue?

The deed restrictions in my last neighborhood stated something to the effect that garages were solely for the purpose of cars and all cars had to be in the garage when not in use. The garage door had to be closed.

Nobody, including the Nazi HOA board kept their cars in the garage because, let’s face it, they were too small for even regular sized cars. One family decided to make their garage into a bedroom for their two oldest boys and use the other bedrooms for their younger children. The HOA took them to court to force them to tear out the extra room. (They left the garage door in place and you couldn’t tell what they’d done from the street.)

I don’t know how the case ended as I sold my house. But that family moved out before I did.

The intent of this, like the intent of everything leftists do, is control. Leftists desire, and leftism requires, that the State exercise total control over every aspect of your life, great and small. Nothing may be outside the State, nothing may be against the State, everything must be directed by the State.

The FEMA food and camps are for the fed gov’s own protection under siege. If you have food to hold a siege and ammo, their plan of pimping your children, wife hostages as shields and you through welfare fails.

I would guess that the owners of renta storage space businesses were heavy campaign contributors, wouldn't you?

Oh it will be ugly one way or the other. The sodomites are notorious polluters and cannot resist the orgy of filth.

Sam Francisco is the perfect test bed.

It's about pumping up commercial real estate values by forcing home owners to purchase/lease separate storage facilities.

BTW, pumping up real estate values is also a significant component of the drive for "immigration reform".

The intent is most likely to prevent people from running home businesses out of their garage.

“””’Why are they doing that, what was the intent behind this.””””

My question is; why would anyone choose to live in this Godforsaken hellhole?
Aside from smelly “artists”, butt pirates, stoned smelly hippies, upwardly-mobile hipsters, gay transtesticle non-gender-specific psycologically screwed freaks, that is.

SanFagsisco could burn while all the ashes fall into the bay and all the infinite numbers divided by zero would be the amount of f***s I would give.

Two things, one that makes sense -

first, SOME PEOPLE who will remain unnamed, store all their junk in the garage and park in the driveway. Some communities view this as an eyesore.

second, and most likely, is “follow the money”.
Someone with some storage units greased a palm or two.

Apparently it’s been on the books a long time but not enforced. There is a move to remove it from the books:

Follow the money. See who owns the majority of self storage lots in the city.
