Looking at weather channel...doesn’t look good for further north and into Boston. And frigid air to follow. I’m home tomorrow and will keep the fire going ;)

We're getting significant snow - an inch or two on the ground and falling heavily at the moment. The plow has already been down our street, but if it gets as cold as they say it will, we will be in a sea of ice before morning.

Congrats on the literary works!

IN MEMORIAM
Lt. Col. Charles C. I. Williams USAAC

REST IN PEACE, FALLEN BROTHER!

Lt. Col. Charles C. I. Williams, USAAC
332nd Fighter Group
Died 22 September 2013

Lieutenant Colonel Charles “C I” Williams, 96, died 22 SEP 2013 at the Dayton VAMC. At the time of his death, LTC Williams was the oldest living original Tuskegee Airman. He enlisted in the USAAC in 1941 and entered flight training at Tuskegee Army Air Field in Alabama. He was part of the 332nd Fighter Group, which became the ancestor of the current USAF 332nd Expeditionary Operations Group. Piloting P-39s, P-47 Thunderbolts and P-51 Mustangs, the 332nd FG escorted bomber convoys, protected harbors and conducted armed reconnaissance missions. After WWII, LTC Williams went on to see service in Korea and Vietnam. He retired with honors in 1966 after serving for 26 years.

Lt. Col. Williams will be laid to rest in the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery at approximately 0900 8 January 2014.

I have fought a good fight,
I have finished my course,
I have kept the faith.
2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)

"Arm yourselves, and be ye men of valour,
and be in readiness for the conflict;
For it is better for us to perish in battle
than to look upon the outrage of our nation and our altar.
As the Will of God is in Heaven, even so let it be."
(1 Maccabees 3:58–60)

Rest in Peace, fallen brother, rest in peace!
We who remain hold you in high honor.
Rest, fallen brother, in this sacred precinct;
We who remain keep this place sacred.
Rest, fallen brother, among these, your comrades;
We who remain keep the watch.
Rest, fallen brother, among these who heeded the Nation’s call;
We who remain press the fight forward in your name.
Rest, fallen brother, lay down thy burden;
We who remain have taken up the torch.
Rest in Peace, fallen brother, rest in eternal peace!

Thanks.

The grassy areas are covered but the road looks wet. Coming down steady.

I’m watching the Weather channel and it seems the rain went further south than predicted from this morning. So we may get a couple inches down here.

Will you be driving to work tomorrow?

Good evening night owl ((HUGS))

Surprise! I’ve been off all week and so will be able to hang around a little longer before crawling under the covers.

How is your shoulder doing? Work going good?

Smooth transits in both directions today. I left the office early for a diagnostic procedure. It went well.

We are having snow - as usual the weather mavens told us all day that we would not have any significant accumulation. We have a couple inches and it's coming down heavily. The temp is below freezing at this hour and is supposed to plunge into the low teens tonight. That should turn our roads here into an ice rink. It will be an interesting ride in tomorrow morning!

Good evening, Connie, and thank you for the tributes to our troops. *HUGS*

Any snow for you? Seems like it is everywhere. LOL!

We might have flurries sometime for the next week.

Gonna test the “driving home” at this time from the new office.
Back in a bit.

If the roads are passable, I will go in, as always.

I've been driving through snow for fifty winters and I know how to do it - just have to watch out for the amateurs on the road. :)

amateurs...yup, that’s why I don’t like to drive on the roads when they’re bad. Stays safe if you go in.
