A&E's decision to reinstate Phil Robertson on Duck Dynasty shows the network has "chosen profits over African American and gay people," the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) said on Saturday.
"Phil Robertson should look African American and gay people in the eyes and hear about the hurtful impact of praising Jim Crow laws and comparing gay people to terrorists," GLAAD said in a statement. "If dialogue with Phil is not part of next steps then A+E has chosen profits over African American and gay people -- especially its employees and viewers."
Roberts was suspended from the hit show after he gave an interview with GQ Magazine in which he made anti-gay comments and said he didn't see black people suffering inequality before the civil rights movement. On Friday, the network released a statement saying he would return to the show in 2014.
"After discussions with the Robertson family, as well as consulting with numerous advocacy groups, A&E has decided to resume filming Duck Dynasty later this spring with the entire Robertson family," the release stated.
In a statement to Fox News, the family said they were "excited to keep making a quality TV show."
"We will continue to represent our faith and values in the most positive way through Duck Dynasty and our many projects that we are currently working on," they said in the statement. "The outpouring of support and prayer has encouraged and emboldened us greatly."(continued)

GLAAD: Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Disagreement (with them)
Funny thing that ... you see, corporations are made to create profits for their shareholders. That is their purpose. It is NOT the purpose of a corporation to advocate on behalf of 2% of the population that wants to spread their perversion everywhere and into every household.
“Phil Robertson should look African American and gay people in the eyes and hear about the hurtful impact of praising Jim Crow laws and comparing gay people to terrorists,”
glaad should look America in the eyes and hear about the hateful result of BALD FACED LYING.
Well duh.
bttt
The liberals are always going on about “People before
profits” but if you don’t have profits, no one has
a job.
But I guess that is what they are aiming at.
Tell a lie loud enough and often enough....
GLAAD gets it — the “sin” of economics.
+1 for capitalism.
It was a slap in the face to GLAAD but it was a major bi**hslap to Jesse Jackson, who A&E didn’t even waste a second trying to placate. Talk about someone being declared irrelevant.
If they say it, in their minds it is real. The left delude themselves, then repeat their own version of the truth.
The thing is no one will actually take the time to listen to exactly what he said. They all just repeat the lie because it better suits their agenda.
Thank God....
They put Free Speech above censorship.
Pray America is Waking
Translation:
Our lies about his comments are not working, so we’ll attack profits, instead!
LOSERS!
If everyone would be Gay, humanity would die out in a generation. The GLADD agenda is a roadmap to the death of humanity.
When is the IRS gonna investigate GLADD?
For decades, the gay movement had a difficult time projecting their message. Someone had the "brilliant" idea to link it to the Civil Rights movement, equating gay discrimination with that of Black Americans. Bingo! It worked.
Now they must do the same thing in every message they project, constantly tying it to the Civil Rights movement. THIS IS AN AFFRONT TO AFRICAN AMERICANS!
