Cracker Barrel said it pulled some Duck Dynasty merchandise from its stores over concerns it might offend guests, a move that infuriated thousands of customers and confused many others.
"We removed selected products which we were concerned might offend some of our guests while we evaluate the situation," Cracker Barrel said in a statement posted on its Facebook page.
The full statement read:
“Cracker Barrel’s mission is Pleasing People. We operate within the ideals of fairness, mutual respect and equal treatment of all people. These ideals are the core of our corporate culture. We continue to offer Duck Commander products in our stores. We removed selected products which we were concerned might offend some of our guests while we evaluate the situation. We continually evaluate the products we offer and will continue to do so.”
Cracker Barrel's statement led to confusion among some customers who wondered if the restaurant was removing Duck Dynasty products owned by A&E or products owned by the Robertson family's Duck Commander business.
Cracker Barrel did not return phone calls seeking clarification or comment.

True crimes such as murder, rape and headchopping are really not so bad after all. Especially if a privileged minority commits them.
There is something seriously wrong with the collective psyche of a country that rips itself to shreds over accusations of bias.
Borrow a tactic from GLAAD:
PICKET OUTSIDE THEIR ESTABLISHMENTS.
Our problem: All talk and no action.

WE travel about 210 nights last year and ate about 120 times at a Cracker Barrel restaurant.
It might be some time before we darken their doors again ..
I love Cracker Barrel so much. The food is phenomenal. Sad about this, but free country and all. It seems that we always go to Cracker Barrel after church. Although not Christmas week, so we will boycott them for a week.
I suspect if you try hard enough, you can find a reason to avoid darn near every national franchise place except Chik Fil A.

You still have it. They are still selling Ducky Dynasty family junk. You are safe to go eat their.
They are keeping the Duck COMMANDER products on the shelves, as is stated in the article. Duck COMMANDER is the company owned by the Robertsons. By doing this they appear to be supporting the Robertson family.
I don't eat there as I don't like the quality of their food, but have a friend who does work for the local store.
That comment seems quite dismissive and unlike your usual high-quality posting style. Plus the typo is atypical as well. Was your account perhaps hijacked?
I went through my credit card statements and found that I have spend over $450 at various cracker barrels when I travel.
So I contacted them and told them that fact and the fact that I will, in the coming year, spend 0 dollars at cracker barrel. I explained my reasoning.
I will go without eating before I give them a dollar.
I just vote with my cash. Others should quietly do the same.

Agreed. But everything I have read thus far states that they are keeping the Duck Commander items. Many people do not seem to understand the difference between Duck Dynasty which is A&Es brand and the Duck COMMANDER brand which belongs to the Robertsons. And, some people just don’t read the article in full.
The statement on their website doesn’t make the distinction, and the statement makes it sound like they agree with the lefties
