The controversial discovery of 68 million-year-old soft tissue from the bones of a Tyrannosaurus rex finally has a physical explanation. According to newly published research, iron in the dinosaur's body preserved the tissue before it could decay.
The research, headed by Mary Schweitzer, a molecular paleontologist at North Carolina State University, explains how proteins and possibly even DNA can survive for millennia. Schweitzer and her colleagues first raised this question in 2005, when they found the seemingly impossible: soft tissue preserved inside the leg of an adolescent T. rex unearthed in Montana.

LOL, they keep trying and failing.
Millennia and 10’s of millions of years are two very different things. Being a young earther I have no problem with this and it just shows that the science supports my view.
As we all know humans are descended from mating between dinosaurs and lemurs....
Maybe it’s not tens of millions of years old.
There is proof that man and dinosaurs did live at the same time.
I just want to point out at this time that this is NOT my fault.
The explanation is bizarre.
Why? Explain cave drawings of dinosaurs. How did they know what to draw if they had never seen one?
.... or a female chimpanzee mated with a pig
So... these dinosaurs, fair to say they had an iron constitution?
The major glaring fault in the article is the false assumption that dinosaurs lived millions and millions of years ago, when in fact, dinosaurs lived a few thousand years ago.
There is proof that man and dinosaurs did live at the same time.*
Correct.
There are hundreds of clay dinosaurs and other artifacts with dinosaurs on them from Mexico, Central America and Peru that are between a few hundred and about a thousand years old.
The word dinosaur was only coined in the 1800’s after most or all of them were gone. They were called dragons before that. People began to think that dragons (dinosaurs) were a myth since there weren't any around anymore.
Many writings about dragons all around the world lead many to believe that dinosaurs and humans were around at the same time.
I suspect that those trying to preserve the millions of years conjecture have found human bones and dinosaur bones together and didn't report it because it goes against their agenda.
They took their vitamins!
Would you have a link? I'd like to take a look at them.
Full disclosure: I'm a Catholic, not a scientist, believe God made all Creation, and have no investment in a timeline one way or the other.
Importantly, Schweitzer and her colleagues have figured out how to remove the iron from their samples, which enables them to analyze the original proteins. They've even seen chemical reactions consistent with the presence of DNA, though Schweitzer is quick to note that she and her colleagues haven't proven that DNA is actually present.
Oh, yeah. Oooh, ahhh, that's how it always starts...
I think we've all seen how this movie ends.
... Then later there's running and screaming
Technically you are right. The alligator and the crocodile are decedent of dinosaurs and as we know alive today. However there are no cave drawings of dinos. They are fakes.
From the Creation Museum.
It's not all that complicated and no one needs take yeas to study paleontology to know that man and dinosaurs lived at the very same time and that man even domesticated dinosaurs.
