It's been a tough year for the liberal cable news outlets.
Data released Tuesday show CNN shedding 48 percent of total viewers since last November and MSNBC dropping 45 percent.
The numbers were even worse in the all important demographic of people aged 25 to 54 as CNN's ratings dropped 59 percent and MSNBC's 52 percent.
In an off-election year, and with last November's numbers skewed higher as a result of the presidential election, it should be expected for ratings to decline.
However, Fox News didn't see close to these losses. In total day, FNC is only down 18 percent since last November and 30 percent in the demo.
As you might imagine, prime time numbers were also down.
CNN was off 54 percent in total viewers and 62 percent in the demo. MSNBC declined 50 percent in total prime time viewers and 57 percent in the demo.
By contrast, FNC was second in all of cable in prime time this November averaging over 2 million viewers. This represented a decline of 21 percent in total viewers and 41 percent in the demo.
As such, no matter how you slice it, the liberal cable networks fared much worse in the past twelve months than their far more centrist competitor.
With a sewer mouth like Bashir still living and breathing on their screen, not to mention their shabby treatment of Lara Logan -a REAL heroine to DARE question the Obamabastard on his failings at Benghazi, is this a surprise.
I hope they all got to hell and take their liberal rag journals with them.
I get my news off the internet, Fox occasionally. Never CNN or PMSNBC.
You nailed it. Same with Hollywood. They will sacrifice anything -- ANYTHING, including profit or even survival -- to promote the New World Order. It's the marxist thing to do, to give your all to the Collective.
The issue isn't so much why the media and the movie makers are doing what they're doing, it's why their stockholders and directors allow them to do it.

Up here in the UP of Michigan Fox News is on in waiting rooms in doctors offices and hospitals. McDonalds have no TV on in this area. Lots of music on. If Obama comes on the radio in a store - There are shouts of turn that Idiot off.

This is true at the place where I have my oil changed also. Asked them why and they said CNN provided the TV and it’s part of the agreement their corporation signed with CNN. On this particular set all the other channels were blocked off. One of the other guys in the waiting room got up, turned it off and said somebody else could turn it back on after he left.

Last November was the Presidential election. It's not surprising viewership is down. FNC's relatively better numbers just indicate the frustration of liberals and their lack of interest in watching Obama implode.

They got to turn things around. They shouldn’t have signed on to the Obama Express. Time to jump from the train before it wrecks! maybe get some Conservatives on the line up or some interesting people. Hire Obermann back! Shut down MSNBC or Go total commie and get some interesting foaming at the mouth Marxists—they would be interesting at least.
Perhaps you didn't read the article,but the article indeed made it clear that a certain bleed from election year highs was expected, but this was dramatically outside the norm. As to the idea of watching Obama implode…I think that is why they are tuned out and what is significant about the entire story. To me, that Obama is imploding is more important per se than these cable outlets.

Lucky for me, my dish does not get CNN or PMSNBC...only FOX and Aljazera.
I have never seen PMSNBC, and CNN only in airports.

The link doesn’t mention gender, but I’d bet a pony they are successful in the ‘dumb slut’ demographic too.
Advertisers LOVE these demographics.
CNN and MSNBC’s problem is they are fighting for the same demographics.
Which is why their attempt to cotinue to prop up the fraud-in-chief will have no effect on the national perception of him...
