If anybody wonders why I always argue that the primary stop capabilities of LEO should be vastly curtailed, well here is another example, as if we need more.

The occurrence of a State stop of a citizen going about his business should be rare, an unusual event taken with great trepidation. Instead these stops are routine, and we rely on the "system" to protect us from rogue cops.

I am more concerned with Liberty than I am with safety. The current reality of massive electronic surveillance, and the common occurrence of routine stops must be ended. We, have ceded too much power to get safety. Instead we get tyranny. Here the cop was caught. How many times does this happen and nobody says anything? While the story does not say why the traffic stop occurred, lets be clear, the Police can pull over anybody at any time they want. is far to easy to create a stop when the traffic regs are so huge that you couldn't print them all out and fit them in the back of a Police cruiser.

Time for the tyranny to end.

What do you think, firing squad or a good old fashioned hanging if found guilty?

Countdown for being asked if I recently got a traffic ticket, a DUI or a suspended license... 01,9,8,7,6,5...

Nope, but I have driven around 50k miles a year for nearly 20 years, so yeah I have seen a lot of road.

My wife complained to our former chief of police (and former friend) about the fact that a cop could follow a citizen for a couple of miles and find some “legal reason” to pull him or her over. The chief said that it wouldn’t take a block. Kinda’ reinforces what you are saying doesn’t it!

I praise the victim for having the courage to come forward....

I think it says a lot about how things work when it takes courage to report an assault.

I’m guessing this guy is a serial rapist who has gotten away with rape enough times to embolden him. There is probably something about the victim that made this scumbag think he could rape her without consequences.

Castrate him, and put him in prison with lots of big playmates who will love on him.

There is some federal grant goal in order to sustain extra cash to state and locals. It's called "citizen interaction ratio goal(quota). The aim is to document 2.1 interactions per citizen to meet your goal(quota)on a yearly basis.

That means each citizen is to deal with 2.1 traffic stops, home visits, sobriety checks, etc.... every year. Statistical policing is the new norm. It has nothing to do with crime.

I've been stopped by a cop one time. The speed limit was 55 in Texas then. I was in my new Jag which changed gears at 54mph. The car ran beautifully at 65. I was on a divided road with no one in sight except one car behind me. The road curved and there was a cop. He stopped both of us.

He came to my car and said, “This is a beautiful car. You were over the speed limit.” I said I knew I was so what happens next. He said he would be back, had to talk to the guy behind me.

He came back and said the guy was causing him trouble and he was glad I was cooperating. I said I was over the speed limit so there was nothing to complain about and what did we do now because I had never had a ticket.

He said my husband must be rich to buy me this car. I said I had no husband. He said, “Can I come live with you?” We laughed. He gave me the ticket and said just mail the money to that address. That is what I did. My car was really glad later when the speed limit went up to 65.

Whoa, whoa, whoa.

Whoa.

What exactly is this guy accused of? The snippet here doesn’t make that clear. Sexual Assault? Not Rape, right? What does that mean?

I’m a pretty “Law Enforcement” wary guy but if this guy just touched a female in an odd way, charges?

Cop robbed me of my cash for nothing. I have no felonies or misdemeanors.

I used to support all cops 10,000%.

Now I think I was a sucker.

WATCH OUT FOR COPS.

Recent cop-related abuses have probably lead this officer to believe it’s his right to have his pick of the crop. As many other cops have gone unpunished...why would he expect to get busted?

The ‘unthinkable’ has seemed more and more thinkable of late. So those on police payroll and their unthinking supporters must not be paying attention.

Yes. That's the trade-off it seems. I'll never suffer from it because I never disobey the law. Doesn't matter anymore.
