A San Diego man may be the latest victim of knockout, a disturbing new activity spreading across the country involving teens or young adults physically assaulting unsuspecting strangers.
Victoria Hyatt says her husband was attacked in such a way by a stranger in downtown San Diego on Tuesday.
As her husband waited to cross the intersection at 2nd Avenue and Ash Street, Hyatt says a man walked up beside her husband and then, out of nowhere, punched her husband in the face.

2nd and Ash Streets are NOT in the hood, but that intersection is in downtown San Diego.
Yep, but you wouldn’t know their ethnicity from that report.
It is becoming necessary to stay out of the cities, including the downtown.
just “teens and young adults” targeting random victims...
The MSM consistently refuses to say that black youth are perpetrating these crimes. I know we’re supposed to be liberal and not racist and all that. But, some fair warnings to people about black youth would be a good thing. The danger is not from random people or random teenagers. The biggest threat is from certain types of people, but because we have to be politically correct, we can’t say who the threats come from.
Once again the race of the perpetrator was omitted from the story. That tells us he is BLACK.
Yeah, those Luther League kids can get really wild this time of year when they load up on holiday Lutefisk . . .
Oh yeah. I agree, and to think I used to always feel safe in downtown San Diego, even as a teenage girl.
Will never happen to me thank goodness.
Those silly “young adult” Amish.
That makes it all the more scary. I work in a good part of a small city filled with feral yut. All of these knockout stories, flash robs and just the general crime makes me evaluate every move I make. I carry concealed, but you can't see this coming, and if you did, it still isn't a justifiable use of force.
Those punks are not only sucker punching whites. I was in the eye clinic of a VA Hospital this morning and an elderly black veteran was there for surgery after he had been knocked out in his own neighborhood. I talked with him and he is a firm believer that all young men should spend time in the military, a belief that I share. He also acknowledged that he lives in a bad neighborhood, and he has lived there all his life, but is too poor to get out. It was sad. He could end up blind.
Mark Larson was discussing the knockout game this morning on KCBQ. But even a conservative oriented talker such as Larson refused to talk about the predominant ethnicity of those who perpetrate these crimes.
It’s frustrating that our entire culture has been so intimidated by political correctness. We can’t even say what the threat is. We can’t say who to be wary of. We have to say it’s kids or young people or teenagers, but can’t say what types of young people, teens, or kids.
The new next trend will be a new generation of Paul Kerseys.
Wait, that mush-brianed lady said today that these yutes are simply in need of more programs.
Misunderstood angels, thats all they are....
That is very close to city hall. There are usually a lot of police in that area. This kind of crap can happen anywhere if any “teens” are in the area.
